This Y is clean and beautiful but the overcrowding is unbearable. I’ve tried coming at a few different times- each time (even during a “not too busy” time) I’ve had to wait between 10-30 minutes for a treadmill. People ignore the 45 minute limit and today after waiting 25 minutes for a treadmill and seeing two people reach 45 minutes and just restart I gave up. I’ve tried using an elliptical or other machine while I wait but there could be 3+ other runners waiting to jump on a treadmill too. Therefore, you HAVE to stand there for x amount of minutes or else you’re out of luck. Everyone deserves to be healthy and active and I know it is a privilege/choice to be able to have a membership and run inside-just a heads up to other runners wanting to get in some miles at the Y

i love the y!! it is one of the most iconic locations in burlington. very clean, well maintained, huge windows, great natural lighting, and really cool design/architecture. it is my happy place. if you want to go when it is less crowded i recommend going in the morning or early afternoon. after 4 it gets pretty busy!

Three stars for the overall experience, of which I'm assuming for most is to complete a solid workout in a decent amount of time. While this gym is centrally located and clean, offers lots of equipment, bathrooms, cardio and weight machines, free weights, and a nice indoor track; parking is very limited and most of the gym parking is reserved for school pick up. This gym is also insanely crowded during peak hours to where one must stand around and wait an unnacceptable amount of time for exercise equipment, free weights, or the racks. The cardio equipment usually opens up more quickly than the weights, but that only works if you come here specifcally for those machines - I do not. Additionally, peak hours are the only times I can make it to the gym, those hours being mornings, lunch time and evenings. From my experience, peak hours are the same between the week and weekend, although this place can still get pretty crowded during off peak weekend hours. I have no problem waiting a few minutes here and there to use equipment, but to have to stand around for anything longer than 10 minutes a pop is a waste of people's time and energy and defeats the purpose of a workout. I have only purchased day passes here for this very reason and am glad I haven't invested in a membership. It would be ideal if this place would consider capping the amount of people admitted per hour or by peak times. Otherwise, one doesn't have a sense of how croweded the gym is until after you've paid and walked up the stairs. Between an overcrowded gym and limited parking, this gym is more trouble than it is worth, personally. I'm on the hunt for other gyms in the local area.

A great location. Tons of new equipment and very clean. But it’s really crowded and not enough parking. 6am, noon, and 5pm are way too busy.

Solid and varied equipment, it's just a matter of waiting for anything to be available. The gym really needs to put a cap on memberships. The only time I've been there and it wasn't packed was 30 min before close, and I don't even know what this place looks like during peak hours. If you have to drive here, get a membership somewhere else, because the parking lot is always full, and so is all the street parking (unless you want to pay for a metered spot). It would be a great gym if it wasn't always overpacked.

Utterly horrible customer service, unorganized and miscommunication. Sad was expecting better.

Horrendous parking situation with half broken machines. Constantly packed with long waits to do anything.

An embarrassing display of what happens when you staff the front desk with a self-aggrandizing narcissist.I've abided by the arbitrary mask policy at every turn, today she decided to chastise be despite this. Physical fitness is at the forefront of my priorities at the gym, not for her though, she prefers assuming the role of 'grand arbiter of health and moral superiority'.If you're worth your salt you won't give your money to this place - or the staff who exercise as much unearned authority as they can get their hands on.

They banned my son 12 without recourse due to his mother’s objection to the vaccine. No ability for waiver. Truly a travesty. Instead of community building the Y in its grandiose views has pitted parent v parent and families against the community. Heinous. Do not believe a single pixel of text which claims the Y values in its ability to welcome all. Sell outs. No love.
