I was recommended to see Dr Dave at Inside Out in the summer of 2019. I had two sore knees and two ultra marathons (Sept & Oct) I had signed up for. I was pretty doubtful I’d be able to run them, but with a few exercises and sessions my knees felt much better. Then with continued strengthening I was able to finish both Noble Canyon 50k and Javelina 100K.I have continued to see Dr Dave, Dr Lindsey and now currently JP. Their PT and entire body wellness program keeps me running pain free!

My experience with Inside Out Strength and Performance was great, and very well worth it! I am a runner and I came to them for help with various issues related to my back, hips, and knees. As we all know running takes a toll on our body, but Dr. Dave was able to assign various exercises to help strengthen these areas to avoid injuries and help me get back to running.

I will be turning 40 years old this summer. Growing up in Leucadia, I have always lived an active lifestyle of surfing, playing volleyball, SUPing, swimming, outrigger canoeing, and running. I never ‘really’ had to pay much attention to my body. It always just seemed to work. As I approached my 4th decade, I was abruptly alerted that things are different now.I didn’t sustain a traumatic injury. With the stay-at-home restrictions placed in March, and, in combination with having two young daughters, my workouts existed solely at home. I engaged in CrossFit style workouts everyday. I was feeling great... until I slept on my shoulder the wrong way. Yeah. I slept on it.After one full week of constant pain and an immobilized shoulder, I went to my GP and got a checkup. I was diagnosed with a shoulder impingement. It seemed small, but had a huge impact the ability to use my entire arm. I tried ice, capsaicin rubs, rest, cryotherapy, and nothing was working. I knew I needed physical therapy.A friend of mine recommended Inside Out Strength and Performance. After an initial consultation with Dave, I was in the studio one-on-one with Lindsey. Their expertise was apparent after a very short amount of time. The process to isolate and identify the weak muscles in my shoulder was methodical, timely, and incredibly accurate. The process to strengthen those weak muscles began as a user-friendly routine of basic motions. Lindsey showed me which muscle group each motion activated, and explained why it will have the desired impact on my shoulder. It was simultaneously an education of how my muscles work as well as isolated strength training. It was also made very clear that recovery doesn’t just exist in the studio. She gave me printed worksheets of muscle activation to practice as homework, as well as coping mechanisms to offset all the hours spent working at home from a computer. After a few weeks of recovery, I was eager to begin more strength training. At my request, my sessions evolved into part recovery and part full-blown workout. I had been missing rigorous and challenging workouts and Lindsey certainly gave me a dose of demanding metabolic conditioning sessions.I now have such a more comprehensive view of my body and muscle structure. I realize how small repetitive actions can have an immense impact on muscle mobility and strength. It will be impossible to forget the care given during my Inside Out Strength Performance sessions. It’s a domino effect of small decisions that eventually lead to huge results. I give my highest recommendation to anyone who wishes to heal, educate, and strengthen his/her daily life.Sincerely,Tim

Dr. Lindsey’s R3 program was such a gift during the first 6 weeks postpartum. I looked forward to checking my inbox Sunday mornings to find the sweetest words of encouragement and inspiration! From practical workouts to yummy recipes, she provides a wealth of information in an easy-to-digest format. I learned so much about postpartum care and came away with advice that I could implement right away to promote healthy recovery. Dr. Lindsey showed me the importance of taking the time to care for my body during the fourth trimester and equipped me with the strategies I needed to rebuild strength as a new mom. This is information every mom NEEDS but rarely gets. I’m so thankful for Dr. Lindsey’s wisdom and expertise—I wholeheartedly recommend her!

Dr. Lindsey’s R3 program was a great fit for my first 6 week postpartum with my third child. I knew I need something encouraging and motivating but straight to the point (two older kids and a newborn—self-care time is precious). Her weekly emails provided helpful tips and reminders on postpartum recovery with a weekly progression plan of exercises (with videos to confirm I was doing it correctly) plus some additional self-care tips and healthy recipes. It was a great motivator to getting me get back to my prior active lifestyle.

Absolutely the best PT i have ever seen. Dave is a magician, i have had many shoulder surgeries over the years and tried everything from PRP, Stem Cell, Peptides etc to fix my shoulder pain. I decided to see Dave and give it a shot as this was really the only option i have exhausted. in six weeks am pain free and already ramping up my exercises getting back to what i was doing before my pain. He said as long as i keep up with my exercises ill continue to see improvement. I am grateful and appreciative in the time and effort he has made. I could not recommend him more for any issues you are dealing with. I will be seeing him shortly for my lumbar back pain i am dealing with next.

The best, and well worth the time and money. After one visit my back was already feeling more athletic. I'm confident Dave has put together a program that will continue helping me improve my back and shoulder strength, which are weak from years of working behind a keyboard. Dave & Lindsey are also just great people to be around.

I have been working with Lindsey at Inside Out Strength and Performance for the past several months and have had spectacular results. I originally decided to seek out help for Stress Incontinence, that I have been experiencing since giving birth years ago. Lindsey was able to prescribe some simple exercises that have helped immensely. I am so relieved, knowing that I don't have to "deal with it," like I have been doing for years. In addition, I have a lifelong history of hip problems related to a condition from birth, and had a hip replacement 15 years ago. Lindsey was able to assess my movement for muscle imbalances and compensations, and give me mobility exercises that have increased my strength and efficiency in movement. She has also helped me with symptoms of carpal tunnel and plantar fasciitis. Everyone needs their own physical therapist! My husband also visits Lindsey to help him prepare to achieve his goal of climbing Mount Whitney. We are so grateful for Lindsey's expertise and believe that investing in our health will benefit us for years to come!
