I’m so glad I actually went in to look around because I was really impressed with the amount of equipment available for resistance training. Not to mention a plethora of cardio machines. The only reason I am not giving the Y the fifth star is because of the steam room. Besides it just having two plastic lawn chairs in there… I was still so excited to use it. It was working on my tour but by the first day I went in to workout it was out of service. Hopefully it’ll be up and running soon. The sauna is a good substitute for the interim.

Downtown Y opened their doors and their hearts to the 70.3 Chatt athletes this week and we couldn’t be more thankful. Everyone was so nice and helpful, and the facility was clean and full of great amenities!Much love,- Atlanta Y members

We love the Downtown Y! The aquatics program is what really made us love our membership. Cassie, the Aquatics Director, is so approachable and wonderful to work with. We did private lessons with her, and my girls gained such confidence in their swimming. So thankful.Everyone is very accommodating and kind. The “family feel” means a lot to me.

As a Chattanooga native, raised and having been going to this Y since the sixties my take on it is as follows: the membership director is running or should I say ruining the core facility and it’s values and allowing bullying and mold and …

Great facilities and amenities. Way too overcrowded. I do not recommend until they expand their weight room to two floors or dedicate one floor to cardio/crossfit and one to traditional strength. This much at least would accommodate the masses of people going there.

I can not say enough amazing things about this YMCA! The team at the Chattanooga Downtown YMCA is phenomenal and the equipment is hands down the best I have ever used at a YMCA facility. The classes are busy, the gym is HUGE, there is child care (preschool too).I was visiting the area for 5 weeks and I am so thankful I found this place. I felt at home in this gym and was easily able to talk with people who have been working out here for years. If you are considering membership in Chattanooga you should look no where else. RUN don’t walk to the Y.

Overall, nice staff on the floor. Relatively clean. They have a lot of classes. The three stars is due to allowing members to slam weights like it’s golds gym and a few other things. The rules posted about this and cleaning machines are not …

I love the YMCA. My children and I go 4-5 days a week. There is something for everyone to do. I workout, my daughter plays in childcare, and my 2 sons play basketball in the gym. Some days, we go for a swim together. I highly recommend getting a membership, especially for families that want to stay active!

Great location. You get to know people by name. The facility is clean, always supplied with towels and spray to clean machines, if a machine is broken it is quickly fixed, always have someone on the workout floor to help you. They have …

This is definitely the best YMCA I have visited in the US. It may not be the newest but it is definitely GREAT! It has an awesome gym with good cardio section and it has a separate cardio room. It has few additional areas for cardio and …
