I love orangetheory the workouts are amazing if you like insanity you will love this gym. It's like doing a different type of insanity every day I gave them only two stars because of the contract is weird and hard to get out of.

author-img

like many other gyms, designed to trap you in contracts that are difficult to cancel and stacked against you. Sessions don't roll over, and you can sign up online, sign up for classes online, change your payment online, but not cancel online. weird! they must not have the advanced technology of a cancel button yet. I'm on try 3 of cancelling (after the final month of payment, of course). let's see how it goes!

Orangetheory is a great work out and a great community. The instructors can tailor a workout for all fitness levels and it is a place where everyone can feel comfortable. If you are looking at different options to get started or continue your fitness journey this is a great place to do it.

This workout was more like a party. SUPER excited to have such a high-quality experience here in Edgewater. LOVE it!

I've been an OTF member since 2019 and love it. Coaches and staff members are great. I attended classes in other locations but this is by far the best.

This is my first location I’ve visited with orange theory and they have been so insanely welcoming since day 1. Now that I’ve completed 5 classes, I can honestly say that the Edgewater team is incredible. Cat is a great trainer and never pushes you too far out of your comfort zone, while still getting you an intense workout. Super communicative and intuitive when she sees you might be having a hard time. The front desk people are amazing! Alyssa (I believe is her name? Dark hair with bangs!) has been incredibly helpful and patient after a confusion with harwood heights/portage park studio and pricing. Quick to find a solution for whatever situation you run into.. Always happy to check in to see how you’re feeling with class and never hesitates to answer your questions. Orange Theory Edgewater has an overall very accommodating family environment. As someone who was VERY nervous to start OT, I highly recommend this location.

Although overall my OT experience was positive - I feel like this is my only outlet for 2 bad experiences I had at this location. One of the trainers on 2 occasions was really rude to me- to the point where I did not feel comfortable returning to this location. Honestly thinking about the incident puts a pit in my stomach.I tried requesting a refund for my remaining time since I am really turned off from returning to OT all together and I pay $200 month for my membership. The staff was not able to help refund me. I was only asking to be refunded for my remaining time which I felt was fair seeing as how I don't want to return. They also did not offer to help the situation in any other way.
