The place could use a proper cleaning. I kept getting a whiff of mildew every once in a while and it seems I'm not the only one. The staff can be friendly but not always. It feels less like a place to work out and more like a place to be SEEN working out. If you're looking to get into exercising and maintaining your health, this isn't the place to do it. They only want you if you're already active and healthy. So less "community friendly" and more of a "beautiful people only" club.

I like the classes and the kids program. But I really wish all the equipment wasn’t from the early 2000s 😅. Literally everything in there except the part right by the entrance is old. Treadmills or steppers or elliptical something is always out of order. Several times over the summer the pool was disgusting and the pump wasn’t even on so it was just stagnant water 🤮

Mixed Experience at the athletic clubRating: 3/5I've been a loyal member of the athletic club for over a year now, and while there are certainly positives to highlight, there are a few aspects that have left me somewhat dissatisfied. On the positive side, they offer a pool , track, lots of equipment and a spacious cardio room with an array of equipment. However, it's disappointing that only a limited number of these treadmills are in proper working condition in the cardio room. This can be frustrating, especially during peak hours when availability becomes scarce. The weight equipment is also very worn and needs updating.Unfortunately, my enthusiasm for the gym is dampened by concerns about its overall cleanliness. The men's locker rooms, especially those near the basketball court, consistently emit an unpleasant odor that suggests inadequate cleaning practices. The main locker room isn't exempt from this issue either, with a mixture of chlorine and urine scent pervading the air. Such hygiene concerns can create an uncomfortable environment for members who are looking for a clean and inviting place to work out.My most significant frustration revolves around the gym's payment system. Initially, I opted for a yearly upfront payment, expecting to switch to a monthly plan afterward. However, I was shocked to learn that my membership had been cancelled without any prior notice. Upon inquiring about the situation, I was informed that the automatic transition to a month-to-month plan does not occur for those who paid in full upfront. While I understand the policy, I'm disappointed that the staff didn't provide clearer communication during the sign-up process or offer timely reminders about the impending transition.Furthermore, the fact that I now need to repay the signup fee, which amounts to $100, feels like an unnecessary inconvenience. This could have been easily mitigated with proactive communication and reminders from the gym's management team.My experience at the athletic club has been a mixed bag. The availability of equipment and facilities could be improved, and the issue of cleanliness needs serious attention. Additionally, the payment process and communication strategies could use significant refinement to ensure members are not caught off guard by unexpected changes. As a member who values both the workout environment and the overall customer experience, I hope that they take these concerns to heart and works towards enhancing the overall member satisfaction.Pros:- Spacious cardio room with varied equipment.- Potential for a diverse workout experience.Cons:- Limited availability of functional equipment.- Hygiene issues in men's locker rooms.- Inadequate communication about payment transitions.

The facility is great and modern but most of the staff are rude and the place smells dirty like mildew. I had paid up front for the year and expected to pay month to month after that year. I went to the gym and scanned my card like usual and the young blonde kid says "You're done bro" . I asked what that meant and if a manager could look into my account to get this resolved. He told me it does't matter and I will have to sign up again and pay all the initial fees again. I told the kid if I'm paying signup fees again it will be with a different gym.

I moved to Clarksville May, 2023 and joined CAC quicklyI love this facility and all that it offers. I never feel judged when I work out. The staff is friendly and helpful. I have three kids who love going to the nursery and kid zone while I work out.

Super expensive for an okay gym.Which wouldn't be a a problem. However 80% of the weight machines are old as hell. You pay for the pool basketball, and the little rec areas within. The money definitely does not go towards new gym equipment.

This place is too expensive for them to not work with their customers to help them achieve wellness. Clarksville has a huge volleyball community and CAC used to be a place we played. But after having us on one court with over 60 people …
