MUV Fitness Forest Acres

The sauna in the woman's locker isfrequently broken. When I call to ask if it is working staff doesn't know and can't go check. I have been told it is working a few times and have driven there a few times and it is broken. The staff at the front desk should have knowledge if something isn't working. There needs to be better communication among staff.

This is a very dirty gym. The woman’s locker room, the pool and sauna areas. People getting in he pool and sauna straight from a workout without rinsing off and getting in the water with dirty feet. Windows that you can’t even see out of. Even the offices of the staff are sloppy. Locker room has very dusty air vents and railings and the wet areas are Moldy. I have to use my inhaler afterward. I expected more from a gym in Forest Acres.The sales rep was so friendly when I signed up now won’t even make eye contact or say hello.The only reason I give it 3 stars is for my trainer David. He is Awesome. In a short period of time he is making a difference in my overall physical health. Unhealthy environment. Very disappointed. If things don’t change I won’t be renewing at this location. The lady (Manager) who I spoke with in the beginning was also very pleasant and still is.

The gym is decent but there is definitely room for improvement. There are simply not enough of certain popular machines from afternoon til closing. The ladies section could do with an update to include some more basic machines. I wish they had more group exercise classes that came with a standard membership. I really am not a fan of gyms that hide their pricing and make you haggle to get a decent rate. Be prepared to wait for a special or to haggle. There is a big emphasis selling additional services which can be a bit overbearing. Overall decent gym, but be aware of the shady pricing.

Today I started my first membership at MUV Fitness !! AlsoI was greeted by Mr Jay Walker .& Ms.Danielle Paulus !They were very professional and greeted me with the best southern hospitality! Both have a platinum personality ....This is a Bonusfor me , whenever I'm comfortable in a new environment! Please I recommend you to join MUV Fitness & make changes for a more healthier lifeAnd this location is off of Forest drive area! I want to sincerely thank you both for sharing such a beautifulExperience!!💯💯👌👌💓💓💓

These people do not want your money! Twice now I have shown up in person to renew for a year of membership paid in full only to be told they have nobody that can see me. They have all my info, know exactly what I want; all I need is somebody who can process a payment. Too challenging I suppose.

I wouldn’t give this gym any stars. Unfortunately I have to give them one to post this trash review. I currently have 3 gym membership and this is the absolute worse one yet. They overcharge you. They give you the run around when they do charge you. My membership should have been 10 a month. I ended up paying over 60 a month. Some months they took weekly payment others they took two. DONT waste your time or money at this gym. They are other gyms they are way cheaper and worth the money unlike this one.

It's way to many kids running around and playing on equipment after 4pm. It used to be you had to be at least 18 or older or be with your parents, now it's seems kids are here playing after school until they get picked up by their parents. I don't know why they started doing this but I guess there waiting for someone to get hurt..This is the only Muv that does this I'm assuming because it's behind the school. HORRIBLE DECISION 🤕🤷‍♂️

Not a very clean gym. Bathrooms always are disgusting. They recently got new equipment, but now the gym feels cramped. If you plan on using a squat rack... take a number and wait 30 minutes or longer...Update: Squat rack situation is better. They purchased two more racks.

The gym is dirty and gross. For the prices we pay, the club should be clean. The equipment is always dirty. The bathrooms are always dirty. The whole gym is just gross. I've never been to Planet Fitness and see an inch of dust on the equipment and their bathrooms are always clean. If PF can have a clean facility, why can't MUV?

I went to this gym with a friend and paid the guest pass. I liked the facility and was considering becoming a member. My buddy had told me that the membership was pretty cheap, about $16 every other week which isn’t bad. As I left I stopped by the desk to get a membership and I believe the manager (fairly older man) took me to a desk and explained the membership which was nothing like I thought. It’s a binding 1 year contract you can’t cancel until the year is up then it goes to monthly. Payment is over $100 but they break it down into every other week payments. I was uncertain about not being able to cancelled and I’m not fully committed to working out 24/7 and it seems like a waste. I voiced this to the manager and he was very pushy and aggressive in trying to get me to sign up. I told him it would be a waste in spending that money if I ended up not going much. He told me that “young people spend this money on food or stupid things in a heart beat, this is nothing.” Doesn’t sound too bad but he was just very pushy after I said no several times and that it wouldn’t work, not because of the price itself but bc there’s no cancellation for a year (unless you move farther than 50 miles away). Didn’t like his attitude at all and he seemed upset when I left and said I’d come back. So much so that I never came back and block all texts and calls from the Muv numbers that tried to reach me. I’m not dealing with a stuffy, aggressive, old man’s selling technique especially if I KNOW I don’t want whatever they’re selling.
