I couldn’t have asked for a more fitting gym to find myself again. This is definitely a safe place, and great space to push yourself. I lost 25 pounds and counting at this location with the help of Keianna, and it was always more than a work out, it was a pick me up, motivation kick, weekly reset, everything, and reassurance that just showing up is half the battle. I love it here!

I really enjoy my experience with CharlotteFIT. The gym has a boutique like feel which gives it a uniqueness. I personally love the style of it. It is always clean and there is always consistent wipe down of the equipment after each use. I love the small group individual training. I don't feel like I am in a group but I don't feel alone. I am getting personalized experience. The prices are fair. The owner Taylor is so sweet and nice. I don't train with her but I love the fact that she always greets you if she is there. Customer service is key for my support.I train with Shayla and its been a great experience. As a trainer and person--she is awesome and her style is inspiring. She can make you feel like you worked out for hours even in a short amount of time. She maximizes the time you have. It is so worth it. I love the flexibility to work out virtual and in-person--life can be busy but it removes the ability to make excuses. I'm challenged by the workouts and it is never boring which that has been hard for me to find. I don't feel intimidated. There is education provided about how to think about nutrition so I don't feel limited. I love the mindset coaching I get just following Shayla and Taylor on their SM and working out with Shayla. If you are in the area and looking to start your fitness & wellness journey I highly recommend checking into CharlotteFIT I'm a big fan of this company and glad I found this place. After birthing two babies over the years and carrying weight from life in general I have lost like 20 plus pounds in less than 6 months. However the biggest impact is I feel better, I look better, I'm stronger and have way more energy and my grind is like on 100 after working out. Call and get your consultation you won't regret it in my opinion.

Listen, mom weight can be really tough to wrap your mind around. So I considered just training at home, but I kept seeing the Instagram account so I went! I train twice a week and it’s been 2 months. One I’m in love with Taylor as a trainer. I appreciate the comradery she has with everyone in my class, it’s uplifting. It’s makes me want to get up and come. The workouts are tough but Taylor gets me through it.

I have been training at Charlotte Fit for years and I absolutely love everyone there! From my trainer Taylor to the other two wonderful ladies Shayla and Keianna. Everyone is welcoming and you feel like family. They push you to be a better version of yourself whatever that looks like...from losing weight, gaining weight (healthy), body recomposition whatever! These women are truly passionate about what they do and they don’t just do this to do this (you can tell some trainers don’t take it as seriously and just do because...this ain’t them)...this is what they were meant to do! Don’t believe me...come see for yourself.

Unfortunately I had to change my review because the personal training was great, but the contracts are written in a way that is very suspect and now I am out $567 for absolutely no services rendered. I had trained with Taylor Calamese (the business owner) for 6+ months, developed a friendship and a level of trust, and even provided graphic design services for her. Then Covid happened and I was unsure about my job situation. With a heavy heart I decided to “pause”, not “cancel” my services so I could potentially come back. I enjoyed my time with Taylor very much up until that point and developed other friendships within the gym. After a couple of months I was coming around to the decision that I would probably not be able to come back for medical and also financial reasons. I was anxious about telling Taylor this because I didn’t want to leave her and wanted to continue to support her and her business during the pandemic, but I had to eventually make the best choice for me.Then I saw an autodraft on my bank account of $567, the price I used to pay in advance for 2 months of training, which showed up 4 months after I last trained.I then thanked Taylor for all her training and profusely apologized that I would no longer be able to continue training for health reasons and also financial reasons. I said goodbye and felt really sad about it and politely asked for the charge to be refunded as I would not be receiving any training. Taylor told me she understood, wished me the best, but said I could no longer go to her (the owner) about these types of financial issues, but that I would need to talk to her administrative person.I thought this was a little abrupt since I had always talked to Taylor directly as she is the owner. When I did email her admin, that person said that contractually Charlotte Fit was allowed to charge me without notice. Apparently language in the Pause Contract said that if I don’t officially cancel with 2 months, I would be auto drafted. Yet, I was charged 4 months since my last training. Also, I had received NO communication, warning, or anything from Charlotte Fit prior to being hit with an almost $600 charge.I asked a few friends in the fitness industry and they all agreed it’s unprofessional and suspect to charge an amount of that size with no warning after a client pauses and NOT standard or acceptable behavior. Especially a long term client who they trusted to always pay with no problems, and even provide them with graphic design services! (Which I have still not been paid for, but that’s another issue.) I pleaded with Taylor and her admin to please refund the charge but they refused. I tried to refute the charge with my credit card company but Charlotte Fit’s contract language was foolproof.I honestly feel hurt after I thought I had a personal relationship with Taylor that she would not address my issue herself, and then take my money for no services rendered because of an insanely ridiculous contract. Especially when the original reason I had to leave was financial. This is a lot of money to me. All I can say now is I hope you don’t get the same treatment if you decide to train with Charlotte Fit.
