Gold's Gym International Headquarters in Dallas, TX, is part of a renowned gym network. Known for its high-quality workout equipment and multiple locations, it aims to offer comprehensive fitness services. The facility also has a good range of amenities, although recent changes have led to the removal of pools and saunas, disappointing many long-term members. Customer service seems to be a major concern, with multiple reviews indicating difficulties in membership cancellation and poor communication from the corporate office.

Despite these drawbacks, Gold's Gym continues to attract members due to its well-maintained equipment and spacious workout areas. Potential clients should be well aware of the company’s policies and the possible challenges in membership management. The gym could improve by reinstating some of its popular amenities and addressing customer service issues more effectively.

Pros:

  • Renowned gym network.
  • High-quality workout equipment.
  • Multiple locations available.
  • Spacious workout areas.
  • Comprehensive fitness services.
  • Well-maintained facilities.
  • Good range of amenities (historically).
  • Great place for serious fitness enthusiasts.

Cons:

  • Customer service issues.
  • Difficult membership cancellation process.
  • Removal of popular amenities (pools, saunas).

I know the pandemic messed things up and some gyms had to close but tell me WHY close the ones with pools or saunas that have more amenities?! I signed up to golds because of the amenities and multiple locations. Now hardly any locations and no saunas or pools. Saunas are so beneficial and I may have to look for another gym. Please consider opening saunas and putting one in the Dallas location. Please there is so much wasted space that can definitely fit a sauna. Why charge full price if we aren’t getting all the amenities.

Your agent in Jordan ,(Abdoun) is not respecting customers and don't and cancelling classes and changing time despite our continuous updating management. They keep telling us that the coming month will respond to our demands but this don't happened.Seems they dont care because we already paid for the coming period. I think that they should respect the brand they are representing and respect customers.

Why are we paying full membership prices and not getting full benefits? Bring back the saunas! They’re one of the most important factors that made me choose Gold’s over everywhere else. This is out of hand, it’s been damn near 3 years!

I signed up for personal training and I was tested positive for COVID-19. Which flared my MS. Currently in bed when I called to cancel the desk person said you have to come in to cancel. You can email but we don't have the address on the app. Not sure how to do as I will not go in person and expose others and let me look for email when experiencing COVID and MS symptoms. Something is wrong here

I canceled my membership in person they keep billing after they said one more month. What low life's. What a drag I live out of town. 45 miles away. drove in filled out paperwork to cancel membership. Somewhat they asked be careful and save yourself the trouble.

No one will answer at corporate. Son not returning to college and the gym there won’t answer their phone no matter what time of day. Told you have to cancel in person or send certified letter to the address your gym said to send it to. Since they won’t answer the phone at corporate (only prompted to enter your zip code to be connected to your local gym) or at the gym in which he is a member, there is no way to find out where to send that letter and it’s 6 hours away from our house. I will not have anything to do with this franchise once this is over.

MY local Golds. Member bout 20 years. Before covid I had 34 unused personal training sessions (they had told me I had only a few left then sold me more) one package 12 sessions never used. They refuse to refund claiming session expired …

Total SCAM. Do not EVER join a golds gym. My daughter has been trying to cancel a membership for 8 months. End-less run around, and getting billed monthly 29.99. She does not even live in the same state any longer.

ATTENTION!! DO NOT SIGN-UP FOR CONTRACTS. They will renew without notifying, even after cancelling, and keep charging your account. Don't give checking account number or debit card. There is many month to month alternatives at other gyms Without Contract. Will never use Golds Gym AGAIN.. Do your Due-Diligence. Everyone helped during the Pandemic, but certainly not Golds Gym. Don't go to a place that sees you as a dollar sign and not a human being. Try to reach out to Headquarters before you sign-up and see for yourself the service they provide. I know Mom and pop small businesses that run better than this place. PATHETIC...To end on a good note, they have great workout equipment, but you will pay dearly. Do your math...Thanks for Listening
