I have been working out here nearly 2 years now and working with Coby as my trainer for a year. Coby has really pushed me hard and sometimes I’m not happy about it but he has gotten me to a point that I feel more confident with how I feel about my body. If it wasn’t for Coby I would have moved on from TFF because it’s usually always crowded with groups of young kids hogging most of the equipment and playing around. The turf floor area could use frequent deep cleaning because it’s filthy. No gym is perfect and I really shouldn’t complain since it’s ridiculously inexpensive, machines are well maintained and the staff is friendly. Coby is a great trainer and motivator. It’s really nice when your trainer notices your gains! Colby consistently sends me reminder text messages a day before session and has never canceled any sessions or gotten them mixed up . He is always on time and ready to go with a planned workout unlike my previous trainer that I really wasted my time and money with. If I had started with him I could have been a fitness model by now! I really enjoy working out with Coby and highly recommend him as a legit personal trainer.

The equipment at this gym is actually quite decent. The biggest issue from a day to day standpoint is the fact it is incredibly busy. The reason for the 1 start review is because of terrible service, specifically the general manager. Otherwise - good service. The manager is one of the worst people I've dealt with at a gym. I decided to use Retro Fitness down the road during my conversation with him when inquiring on setting up an annual membership. He was so rude and abrasive I decided to leave and check out other options.

Texas Family Fitness in Richardson is one of the best TFF locations in regards to layout. If you're serious about training you'll have everything you'll need to safely reach your fitness goals. Competent trainers are available if you're looking for more accountability too. Their locker rooms feel neglected, but the majority of the time you'll be using the equipment. Culturally most gym members keep to themselves and focus on their workouts with headphones in. TFF is a good choice of gym if you want a more serious fitness crowd at a fair price.

Great facility and even greater staff. My son needed to get an extra edge in his school sport and Texas Family Fitness came through. He won a scholarship. We're so happy!!

Title: Dealing with Rudeness: The Unpleasant Experience with a Gym Staff Member by the name of “Geo” I believeIntroduction:In the pursuit of a healthier lifestyle, many individuals turn to their local gyms as a place of motivation and support. However, there are times when the gym experience can be marred by the unprofessional behavior of staff members. This write-up explores a personal encounter with a rude gym staff member by the name of Geo and offers insights into how such situations can impact gym-goers.The Unpleasant Encounter:Recently, I had an unfortunate encounter with a gym staff member that left a bitter taste in my mouth. As I arrived at the gym, I approached the front desk to inquire about signing up. Instead of a warm greeting, I was met with a dismissive attitude and an impatient tone. He instantly tried charging me 10 dollars instead of touring me his facility and showing me the benefits of the gym. The staff member seemed uninterested in assisting me, and his responses were curt and disrespectful.Impact on Gym-Goers:Experiences like the one I had can have a significant impact on gym-goers. Here are some ways in which such encounters can affect individuals:1. Discouragement: Rude staff members can discourage individuals from attending the gym regularly. The gym should be a place of encouragement and support, not a source of anxiety.2. Loss of Motivation: Feeling unwelcome or disrespected can lead to a loss of motivation. People may begin to question whether the gym is the right place for them to achieve their fitness goals.3. Negative Atmosphere: Rude staff members can create a negative atmosphere within the gym, affecting the overall experience for all members. A friendly and welcoming environment is essential for fostering a sense of community.Addressing Rudeness:It's important for gym management to address issues of rudeness among staff members promptly. Here are some steps that can be taken:1. Training: Provide ongoing training and customer service workshops for staff to improve their interpersonal skills and professionalism.2. Open Communication: Encourage open communication between members and management so that issues can be addressed and resolved promptly.3. Accountability: Hold staff members accountable for their behavior and actions towards members. Ensure that there are consequences for repeated rudeness.4. Member Feedback: Collect feedback from members about their experiences and use this information to make necessary improvements. Thanks for your time. I hope others have a better experience at this facility.

I think the gym is great for the price you are paying. Equipments are well maintained. I just have 1 problem with the mirrors and glass in the morning. Around 7.30am to 9am ish, the mirrors facing the dumbbells at the free weights area reflects into the back windows and the cars there are intensely bright almost blinding. You cam see all the cardios are facing away from the windows and the kids window that direction is also frosted but when looking at the mirror while using the dumbells is not ideal. I suggest having the windows tinted to 1 direction or have auto blinds that rolls up after 10am. It don't seem bright in the photo is because of auto adjustment of brightness from the phone camera
