I cannot say enough wonderful things about the studio, the teachers, and all the positive changes my husband and I have noticed in ourselves since first starting here at BYD. The classes are intense and rewarding, the studio is clean, welcoming, and peaceful, the teachers are such pros and give every class 100% of their energy and care. We have gotten to know many "regulars" over the past few months, because the community that this studio fosters is so strong and kind, and the classes are just that good that everyone finds themselves coming back time and time again! Do your body, mind, and heart a favor and give BYD a try!

As we all know, Bikram Yoga is full of constants - 26 postures in 90 minutes with heat and humidity. Complementing the constants are the dedicated teachers and studio owners at Bikram Yoga Danbury. The teachers are invested and put so much of themselves into the dialogue - that it's hard not to do your best. Every class is a beginner class, and everyone is welcome. Try Bikram Yoga Danbury- your body will thank you. Namaste

I tried my first class here a few days ago and afterward I purchased a larger package—so that speaks for itself! Very nice facility, welcoming environment, and professional instruction.

I had a very upsetting experience tonight at Bikram Yoga of Danbury.I was very excited to go to a hot class this afternoon at 4:30. I planned my day, after I taught my class this am, around getting to Danbury, which is 45 min away, on time so that I could just get into the hot room and be guided through my practice, my meditation, the time I carved out of my day to get to my mat.I love Bikram yoga, I have been practicing for over 20 years, I am a certified Hot Yoga instructor, I have certified over 50 people to teach Hot yoga, and have a very large student base in the Hudson Valley as well, the proud owner of a successful Hot Yoga studio for many years.I have had two hip replacements most recently and trying to navigate my practice ( as it looks and feels very different now). It is not what it used to be and I accept my constraints.)Alina, the owner taught the class. I was very grateful to get to class on time and just wanted to practice.I think that Alina could see that I was not a stranger to the practice, and sort of didn't really need much instruction or correction. I am always open to receive good feedback, and as a matter of fact I look for that when I attend another teacher's class.Alina taught the tradional Bikram monolouge which , I take what I need and don't listen to what is absolutely not serving me.I opted to grab my knee in Standing head to knee, she instructed me to grab my foot, which I shared about my hip replacements, which then she instructed me to take my arms by my side. I did what she asked.I was really needing the heat and trying to just get quiet and feel my body as we moved in a new more cautious way for today. At the end of class, seated twist, Alina wanted me to grab my inner thigh ( optional I would say), she repeated for me what she felt was "right" according to Bikram or whomever. I told her that I wasn't going to do that.We had a conversation after class, where I thanked her for her guidance, but shared that I knew my body and had much experience in this style of yoga. She then told me that when I go to her studio, that I should respect what she teaches....I get it, I used to be that studio owner, who had to have everyone do what I thought was right for them. Over the years I have come to understand that it is not about ME at all! If a student is doing something that might be harmful for them, they are inexperienced and need some gentle guidance, or maybe help someone verbally, in a postive manner ,to go to another place. One where they may not have knoweledge of. Otherwise I sort of let each student that comes to my classes, find their way. Have a nice experience, one that is gentle, yet strong.... kind, compassionate, encouraging. I give my students space to navigate whatever it is that they came in with. My point is, while there were many other people in class who were needing some real guidance. Yet did it matter so much to Alina that my hand placement was "wrong" and not the way Bikram says to do it?I will never be going back to this studio! I wasted 3 hours of my time and class money and gas money. Terribe experience.

I love this studio so much I drive 30 minutes to get here. Very hot studio, great instructors, and everything you could ask for from this style of yoga. If you’ve never tried it, give it a chance. It is life changing! The only thing I would change is that I wish they had a 6 or 6:30 class. I heard they discontinued it for Covid, which is totally understandable. Hopefully it will come back eventually. If they had a class at that time, I would be a monthly member.

Being a novice to yoga and especially Bikram yoga, I was very nervous about starting because I had never performed a yoga exercise in my life. However, after my first class I could not wait to book another class. The instructors and staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. The environment is very clean and safe, the studio is spacious. So, I highly recommend Bikram Yoga Danbury to anyone interested in taking control of their health, because the health benefits of Bikram yoga are truly amazing. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

All the benefits that I get from being at Bikram Yoga Danbury cannot be expressed enough with words. It is a life changing experience. Mind completely focused, body flexible and strengthened, cleanses body inside and out. No need for any facials nor need to go to Florida during the cold winter months. I find myself surrounded by real people and GREAT TEACHERS who really care about each student. The studio is very clean and even has a acoustic piano on the floor! What more can one ask for? Come and check it out for yourselves.
