Kickaro's Martial Arts & Fitness - Danbury - Kids LOVE Karate

We recently moved to CT from NY. We signed up my two sons to continue their karate. Kickaro’s is a great place, excellent atmosphere, Mr Michael is great. We love the location and how much our boys are learning. The boys look forward to coming to karate and can’t wait to get a “black belt”. So glad we found Kickaro’s!

Mr. Mike and staff are phenomenal. They teach our kids inner strength, confidence and compassion while getting them away from screens. My kid's anxiety has significantly lessened while making friends and increasing his listening. Highly recommend!

My son and our family love it here. Mr. Michael is extremely patient and kind to his students. The prices are fair and the schedule is great. Absolutely recommend!

Best place for Kickboxing workout. I have been going to Kickaro's Martial Arts & Fitness for approx 19 years. This definitely has helped keep my weight at a the correct level, high energy, flexibility and balance... which helps my ballroom dancing. And finally, keeps my mind sharp and stress level down.

We have had the pleasure of enrolling both of our sons in Kickaro’s. Instructor Michael Coccaro is firm yet kind; fun yet professional. He knows each and every child by name and encourages each to strive for their personal best. He creates an environment that is positive and motivating while holding children to high expectations. Our boys, 13 and 8, each benefit in their own ways. We could not ask for anything more in a martial arts education

My son wanted to try out karate - and I am thoroughly blown away by how Master Mike has managed to take an initial interest and turned it into a full out passion. My son can not wait to go to karate class - and I'm more than happy to take him when I see the positive influence it has had on him over the last several months. My husband and I were in search of something/someone to bring my lil guy out of his shell. Our 6 year old struggles with his emotional and social skills. We were in search of a confidence builder, something that will teach him discipline and respect all while having a great time learning. After several months at a different martial arts location we realized that Jordyn was just not getting much out of it and we decided to switch things up a bit. From the moment I inquired about kickaros I knew this was it. I am huge on communication and Mr. Mike and his wife are ON IT! No questions left unanswered and very welcoming and personable. Mr. Mike has a amazing story and made me feel like "if he can do it, so can Jordyn" my lil guy loves kickaros and so do we. An amazing team, thank you!!!

My son absolutely LOVES karate nights. Mr. Michael & his entire staff are incredible. After just one week of classes , I could see my son's confidence sky rocket. His tempermant with his baby brother shifted. He really grasped his role as "big brother". Mr. Michael's ability to connect with his students is truly remarkable. Both of my daughters wents to Kickaro's for a few years to learn tae-kwon-do, and then to take kickboxing classes as they got older. Mr. Michael instilled such confidence and determination in those girls! It was definitely one of the best decisions we made! Mr Michael is skilled and extremely patient. He knows how to talk to kids and make them feel pride, not only in class, but in their everyday lives! I cannot say enough good things about Kickaros. Don't hesitate with this place - there's no question it's the best!

I am a Prekindergarten teacher in a private preschool and Mike comes into our school to teach some of our youngsters karate. I have worked with him for approximately 4 years and love watching him work with the children. He shows patience, knowledge, encouragement, and engages them in each lesson. Our students look forward to his weekly class. I would highly recommend joining his school and taking his classes.
