Sport & Wellness offers a welcoming atmosphere with a friendly front desk and excellent trainers. The gym provides a variety of classes, making it easy to find something that suits your fitness needs. Although some classes are still gaining popularity, the available facilities are of high quality. The gym includes a rock wall and other features that indicate a well-thought-out design.

The location is somewhat underutilized, and there have been issues with customer service, particularly regarding gift certificates. Loud pop music can also be distracting. Despite these issues, Sport & Wellness remains a solid choice for fitness enthusiasts in Danbury.

This place was nice, but empty all the time. It's really quite sad that they cannot keep a business going in this location. You can tell they had high hopes for this place with the rock wall and everything.Simply a matter of low demand in the area I guess.

Be careful if you purchase a gift certificate from these people. Contrary to Connecticut law they will put an expiration date on it. When you call to try and get it straightened out, they will NOT return your calls. I have a $250 certificate that expired six months after it was issued. I've left messages asking for a return call numerous times and have yet to receive one.So just a word of caution, only use cash with these people.

Welcoming atmosphere and positive all around from the front desk to the trainers. Tennis is good with some excellent pros. Classes are plentiful though some are in the startup mode and need more people, but that will come. They are missing some weight machines, but the ones they have are very good. The only negative is that they play pop music in the workout area at such loud volume you can't hear your own ipod programs. Otherwise, it's a good experience.

I was an employee at Sport & Wellness for a short time. I didn't particularly enjoy working there as I felt I received no support for the format of classes I taught, but I kept on doing my best to give the students a solid workout. When I left to move out of state, I was told they would send me the rest of the money they owed me in the next pay period. However, they ended up paying me for less than half of the classes I taught. I thought it was just a mistake and called to amend it (this ended up comprising of several calls to the gym and to its corporate office), but nothing was done about the oversight. Michelle at the corporate office kept on telling me she had sent a check, but no check ever came (even though, incidentally, the tax form came from them at the end of the year, so I know there was no mistake with my address). I've since called the office and/or gym at regular intervals but no one has ever bothered to call me back. Unfortunately, I'm out of state, or else I would make a bigger ruckus. But really! Who does that? If they treat their other employees as badly, I can only foresee a terrible end.
