The Edge Fitness Clubs

It is impossible to cancel your account. My one year agreement lapsed, and I was ready to close my account. Called The Edge Danbury and told a staff member I wanted to cancel. He provided me the wrong agreement number to email ABC Fitness. Woke up to an $85 dollar charge for an annual fee. I am so beyond frustrated and displeased with this place and the staff. It should not take over 2 weeks for a simple request to be processed, and charging me for a service I have actively been trying to close under incorrect guidance from staff is so beyond frustrating. save your money and time, do not come here.

Overall, it's a great gym with many machine options. But their hours of operation are ridiculously short. They close at 11pm mon-thurs, 9 pm on Friday, 7 pm on Saturday and 6 pm on Sunday. People want a gym that has early and late hours to cater to different lifestyles. Please make the change. Especially on the weekend

Firstly, this gym is very spacious so each section has plenty of space to handle the volume during busy times. Good variety of equipment and machines with a big turf area.This place gets crowded but members are generally courteous and respectful. In conclusion, this gym generously offers a lot of value for a very reasonable price.

My recommendation would be to spend your money on any other club than this one. I took a one year membership and at the end of the year I inquired about not renewing. I was told that I need to email Abc Fitness Club to ask for auto renewal to be turned off. I never received a confirmation so stupidly assuming my membership was cancelled I found 2 charges on my credit card from the club. I contacted Abc Fitness twice and was told they had no record of the email. Three trips to the club to talk to the manager Joe was unsuccessful because I was told he was too busy. It amazes me that when I initially signed up they were more than happy to take my credit card but when I want to cancel they couldn't help me at the facility. I had to talk to someone in Arkansas with no satisfaction. My only recourse was to cancel my credit card so I wouldn't be charged any longer.

Great place except.. Shakes are not 20oz. Sign say 20 but i think even the photo was changed to level shown. 20oz is filled to top. One gal adamantly stated she doesn't fill. And equipment is lacking. I had to use rope for Hip Abductor since the correct tool is not around. Several treadmills in Theater do not rise for incline. Staff is great, management may be sleeping to keep people from quitting. I dunno but the price for membership is good. So join and come meet the cool peeps but don't expect much else.

This is a huge, clean, attractive, energetic place with tons of new machines, wide variety. Also nice locker and dressing rooms, showers, and sauna. Cool movie theater. Water bottle fill station. Nice to be able to use a women’s only area as needed.The onsite classes are great, but limited in variety, volume, and times (no pilates; few or sometimes no early morning, lunchtime or later evening classes), so I have to supplement with online classes they provide. Also, I would love longer hours at the end of the day. I’m thinking I will have to supplement with an inexpensive 24/7 self-serve place for when I can’t fit Edge workouts into their hours. But really, Edge is super inexpensive for what you get. I would pay more for longer hours and more classes if given the choice.

Staff is either stupid friendly or nasty to you. Called to cancel my sessions bc my doc recommended I do PT first instead of their training due to my autoimmune disease making the last session feel like it broke my body and I was told to hold and got hung up on (not like I got to tell hem why, thanks Hannah, and yes I could hear your eyes roll). Way too crowded. Never checks to see who is vaxed and their policy is that you have to be or you wear a mask (almost nobody in there does and its way too crowded for that). Most equipment is in decent shape. Cool features. Not going back though.

The gym is clean and has great equipment, but its always so over crowded. The trainers are 5 stars! Giving a 3 for the overcrowding and the fact that they were not going to give me my money back when I didn't receive the supplements I ordered before moving out of state and one training session I paid for. I finally just disputed this with my credit card company and got my money back since Edge was giving me the run around and saying they couldn't refund me $130 because it was too small an amount... whatever that means.

I wish someone warned me the price of fitness was my soul.Gym is great! Staff is young and kind. I really enjoyed going here until it came time to cancel.READ THE FINE PRINT IF YOU KNOW WHAT'S GOOD FOR YOU!! I moved a flight away in September and have been actively and aggressively trying to cancel ever since (still paying monthly!!) ALAS, with no gym visits in six months it seems my bank account has been sucked dry and so has my spirit. I understand it's a business, but wrestling with the billing company has completely tainted any good experiences I had here. Just be careful!.

Friendly staff and now new stair climbers (wireless charging, Apple Watch sync and working tv). Hopefully the first of many new machines to come (it’s sad and funny to see machines still with iPhone 30 pin connectors) 🤞🏻 …
