Disgusting and dangerous gym. Watch out for spiders and bugs nesting on the machines I almost dropped a set of weights today. For some reason they replaced the nice free weights with old free weights that don’t stay locked on the bar so watch your feet as the free weights randomly fall off. I have watched newcomers drop weights on other patrons this is negligent behavior I predict a major law suit in the future. Groupon has some great deals for other 23 hr gyms in the area..guess you get what you pay for right

They have a ton of equipment, lot of cardio and easy to operate machines. As well as a lot of boxing/fighting gear. Staff is kind of rude but you can usually just go after like 7 so you don't have to deal w them as much.

Normally go late at night so its just a couple of us in there. The machines them selves are great. They gym is normally pretty clean and machines are always in working order. I can say since the new ownership the TV's are generally on terrible channels and the music sucks. Been a member of a few gyms over the years. Would be nice if they would follow suit and leave the TV remotes out so people can change the channel, specially late at night when there really is no fighting over what channel when its only 3-5 of us in there. Over all a nice gym.

I joined this gym before it was purchased by Top Shape, I initially joined because the $10 military rate couldn't be beat. My monthly charge is now $25 which I'm less than excited about. I don't really use the amenities like aerobic classes and tanning machines so I don't really get the full value of my money. There's no sauna, pool, track, or court. But there a lot of cardio machines and sufficient weights.

Nice clean gym. Getting more and more locations, but this one off the avenue is their nicest so far. Although I have not been to the iowa side. Staff here is always friendly and eager to help. Never experienced and "rude" staff.

What use to be a nice place to workout has turned to garbage. The friendly staff that this place had a year ago is gone. Replaced by people that have a fake smile and that seemed to be bothered by question asking. I will be cancelling my contract with them today. Unless you are one of their clients on one of their special fitness programs, they just don't care about you. I recieve text weekly from them about classes being cancelled or changed. I was lied to directly to my face by a newer counter girl. Since I go to the gym twice a day I do watch the tv's while working out. I asked if they could put the morning tv's on channels that people actually watch. She told me she leaves them on the channels that customers request. So out of 6 viewable tv's, 1 is ESPN, 2 are local news and 3 are infomercials. The best part is the infomercials are on the tv's in front of the tread mills and ellipticals. I've asked the other regulars in the morning(only 4-5 of us at 4am) if they requested these channels and was told no. The music that they plain is just plain and boring also. So bring your own. This place has went down hill fast. The convience and cost are being overshadowed by neglect and terrible customer service. I'll pay the $45 a month to Anytime Fitness just to get away from here. What was fun is now just disappointing and terrible!
