Great place to work out! Staff and members are so friendly. The personal trainers are extremely knowledgeable and always willing to answer questions and help clients. The variety of group fitness classes making working out fun and never boring. Highly recommend this gym.

I have been going to this gym for many years and have never had problems until recently. I go work out multiple times a week and had an issue with the "buddy pass" that I was under the assumption was part of my grandfathered membership I have had since it was Aspen. I have on many occasions been able to bring a friend to work out with me without charge. One of the employees specifically named BEN was abrasive and did not handle the situation in a professional manner at all. I was informed I do not have the "buddy pass" and he reminded me by raising his voice that this was not Aspen anymore and it was Genesis (as if I did not see the sign change on the outside of the building several months ago) I have been in multiple times and asked to see a copy of my original agreement and still have not been provided one since I need to see a manager. I have yet to find an actual manager on staff and have asked the last 3 times I have been to the gym. For such a simple request I am amazed at how big of a deal Ben made it. I have heard similar stories from other long time members of the gym about the same employee specifically being particularly troublesome and excessively abrasive about expressing gym policies to them. To be a member so long here its truly disappointing to be treated the way I was.

I really enjoyed my experience at this Genesis location. There is a good atmosphere (not excessively busy, good membership, clean) and I liked the selection of equipment. The sauna is huge. Although they don't allow you to put water onto the element, it is hot enough that it isn't a problem. Some gyms have saunas that don't feel hot enough, but this one did. This is definitely the best gym in the Urbandale area. Memberships are a little higher than average, but it's worth it if you're serious about your fitness.

Love coming here! My kids have a safe place to play, and my husband and I have a great workout!

Been going here for years, great staff good people. There is always someone to spot you and offer assistance when needed.

Jonathan and Steve gave me a tour and got me signed up. They are very friendly, and the gym is very clean, even at its busiest you will get the machine you want.
