I love the workouts. For people who have difficulty motivating themselves to go do a workout, or if you struggle with what to do while working out, this is perfect for you. Friendly staff, coaches are knowledgeable and provide excellent alternatives for injuries.

Orangetheory has changed my entire relationship with fitness. I went from loathing the idea of working out to NEEDING it in my life. The front desk associates are amazing and the coaches are so supportive that OTF has become like family. I love my gym time. ❤️❤️

Overall I really like the environment at OT. However, tonight at the OT in West DSM I was struggling with my knee on the rowers. I noticed some open treadmills and decided to swap back to the tread for comfort (there was at least 4 open). I was then interrupted and reprimanded by Tanya for doing this. (Mind you this is only our third workout with OT). I ended the workout at that point. If you need flexibility due to injury/struggles in certain areas OT is not the place for you.

I was in town and visited this location for a class with Bryson. He was possibly one of the best coaches at OTF that I have had as a coach! Great workout and a fantastic studio. Everyone from start to finish made this a great experience! Another thing I liked is that the studio temperature was on the cooler side - it is nice to have to work up a sweat!! Great workout and highly recommend!

The WDM location is the place to be with OTF! I joined OTF almost immediately after moving to the Des Moines area. I expected finding a great gym that fit my needs was going to be a hassle and was pleasantly surprised to find myself captivated on day one. Just my luck, my first class was Everest! Thankfully Coach Carissa was by my side helping me figure out the program. It was incredibly challenging, and yet the whole time I felt motivated because I felt recognized by Coach Carissa and Coach Bryson (who was on the mic at the time). Every “I see that reach!” and “we’ve got this one!” helped me feel connected — to the workout, and the people. I thought joining OTF was just about my physical health. As it turns out, my social health has also been greatly improved along the way. I give special thanks to coaches Tanya, Bryson, and Carissa for always bringing their best energy into the class. I cannot speak more highly of OTF WDM and the people that make it up!

I would never join. Ever. Never. They take advantage of people. You can only cancel where you join so if you’re a college student living a different state that’s really hard to do. Especially when they told you you could cancel anywhere. Then that college student loses her debit card and has to cancel it and then the payment declined four days later because she doesn’t have a new card and they threaten to send her to collections. Ridiculous business model. Threatening collections? Loan sharks are more forgiving than you Orangetheory.

Top notch staff, facilities and programming.I always feel welcomed when I walk in the door, and always feel accomplished when walking out. They had various plans to match my fitness needs, and a myriad of class times to fit my schedule. The classes are high-energy and have diverse programming to keep you interested. All of the coaches are fantastic and flexible to help you see success no matter where you're at in your health journey.I would recommend this place to anyone looking to try something for the first time, getting back into a program, or an alternative to switch things up.

I have been attending classes here for over 2 years and OTF has changed my life in so many great ways both physically and mentally. I love the community between staff and members and I'm always excited to accomplish a workout. The staff have also done an exceptional job at keeping the studio clean and safe for members during the pandemic. If you love group classes that keep you motivated and always push you to try your best, then this is for you. First class is free, give it a try!

I have to be honest that I have never even worked out outside of sports in high school which lets be honest that is 25+ years ago. I am 43 years old and when I walk into a gym I feel like everyone is staring at me and laughing like she doesn’t have a clue (which is true). I have to tell you at my very first class at Orangetheory on Jordan Creek I was hooked! I have told so many friends about how I would have never imagined this to happen. What I like about it is I get an amazing and quality work out in 55 minutes. It goes by so fast because you are rotating between the treadmill, floor and rower. I have NEVER had the same workout which keeps it fun and interesting as well! Every single coach I have had has been great. I have asked questions or guidance from the coaches and front desk and all have been amazing. The only struggle I have had is getting my heart monitor wristband to not act up but I can tell you it is getting better! I received some tips from the front desk so hoping that helps!Another thing to mention is I don’t feel judged one bit even though my information is showing up on the screen. It actually pushes me sometimes. Honestly I think that everyone is so focused on themselves and achieving their goals they don’t even realize who is all in the same class. I don’t!So if you are a skeptic about it - try it out - they give you the first class for free. It is VERY expensive but that encourages me to go more often so I feel like I am getting my money’s worth.Try it out! Ask questions!! It is so worth it!!
