I honestly prefer mom and pop gyms but I have really enjoyed Planet Fitness, Lakeside! This gym is always clean, and the equipment is well cared for. From the moment I enter to when I leave, every staff member is awesome. Pono, one of the employees here always goes out of his way to be a blessing. He's always joyful, attentive and professional. I recommend getting the Black card membership, it is definitely worth all the extra perks!

The equipment is great and clean but always so busy. I feel rushed when I'm on the equipment.

Pretty clean facility, staff wasn’t as welcoming as I’m used to at other locations. Also need to do a better job at male workers entering the female locker room. I was leaving the shower/bathroom area when a female customer and male worker were entering the locker room which is really uncomfortable as there was no warning at all

This planet fitness was like many others in that there were plenty of machines and actually plenty of space to work out in. I believe this is the one that had the very cool lockers that you could program the lock yourself. As usual, every machine worked in the showers were great. Nothing bad to say - I have yet to have a bad stop at a planet fitness and this one was no exception.

Love going to this gym. It's never crowded and they have plenty of machines, so you never have to wait.

Jordan the tall woman that’s the manger I believe I was walking on the treadmill looking at my emails an she walk in front of me an say you need to put headphones on ? I said why she said your playing music an I can hear it from desk ? What!!! I’m on the other side of gym checking my emails an you hear music over the extreme loud music playing in the gym wow this woman is not fit to be a manger or employee making false accusations to customers an demanding I put head phones over my head for looking at my phone checking my emails this is ridiculous .

Update: now they're allowing teenagers to work out for free so the gym got even more overcrowded and uncomfortable.I've been a member here for almost two years and below are the pros, cons and my thoughts on music. My main reason for three stars is frequent overcrowding in the dumbbell area, which is not big enough. All the good things don't matter that much if it's too crowded and there isn't enough space for working out comfortably.Pros:- Incredibly cheap price ($10 per month with a $40 annual fee).- All equipment is new and works well.- Friendly and helpful personnel.- Clean environment, everything is cleaned with a spray regularly.- Always plenty of parking outside.- Free and fast WIFI connection.Cons:- It gets really crowded pretty often to the point that working out is not comfortable. And it's not just during peak hours. It can be crowded at 2:00pm or 9:00pm so you never know if you're going to have sufficient space and available machines. I'd rather pay more and have more space.- Cardio area is way too big while the area with dumbbells is too small and there often aren't enough dumbbells for everyone. This can be solved by removing some of the excessive cardio machines that are never used.- The water pressure in the shower stalls is very weak. It's really difficult to shower. Also, there is no soap in the shower stalls and no paper towels for drying hands in the sink area.Thoughts on music:It's hard to please everyone music-wise but sometimes they play hardcore rap or hip hop, which creates a really unpleasant environment for those who are not into it. If it were up to me, I'd play only hard rock and heavy metal. But, considering everyone, I think it's better to stick with more neutral music styles like pop and house (definitely not gangster rap). To be fair, most of the time pop and house is exactly what they play. So just remove those rap songs from the playlist and problem solved. Or, if you're playing rap, add some heavy metal to the mix. It's Lakeside and there are plenty of rock fans here.
