• Machines are often broken, and not fixed. For example, a machine I used to regularly use has been broken and nor repaired or replaced for more than a month. Other machines are deteriorating, with worn parts not replaced.• Showers are poorly maintained; shower heads and lockers break and are fixed quite slowly.• Staff is friendly and helpful, but at the mercy of a cheap company out of Kansas that bought Miramont, closed a good mid-town facility and is barely maintaining the rest. Genesis, IMHO, and in the words of former management (Miramont) is a corporation that specializes in buying health clubs and running them on the cheap.I belong to and use the facility, paid for by my Medicare supplement. If I had to pay out of pocket, I’d choose Raintree, which I’ve been told is excellent.I suspect the “good” reviews are scams written by management, as they are contrary to my experience. I used the North facility when it was run by Miramont, with far better upkeep. One Pro of the facility is their climbing wall, if that’s of interest to you.

Membership options are easy to change/upgrade and very flexible, love the ability to pause membership, love the rock wall option and how large the facility is with various areas to work out without having to be close to people if preferred, great and large selection of group classes. Facility is very well staffed with helpful employees and kept very clean.

I regret signing up to this gym. It's the grimiest and most uncleanly feeling gym I've ever been a member of. It reminds me of my HS gym that was built in the 70's. The entire gym is covered in a dusting of climbing chalk, which indicates this place is never thoroughly cleaned. The machines are old and beat, and on top of it they're gross - you can see dried sweat stains and bottles rings all over them, dust and fallen body hair cover the metal. The cardio equipment is always covered in dried sweat and routinely out of order. All of the equipment in general is dirty and old. Because of how dirty it is I don't feel comfortable using the stretching mats or floor work area. The walls are dirty and chipped - can you not do some touch up paint for your members? The carpet is brown and stained - when's the last time you steam cleaned? The same basketball sized stained has been outside the managers office since I joined. Staff seems to never be present except for congregating at the front desk to talk or be on their phones (today a staff member was coughing non-stop and wasn't wearing a mask). Some guy pushes a stolen Walmart shopping cart around with climbing mounts and old milk crate in it, and again, just gives it the perception of a dirty climbing gym. I've never once seen staff cleaning the equipment or enforcing patrons to, I've never seen anyone mop, and the place in general seems like it's intentionally been let go and management is disconnected. If it's ever truly cleaned, sanitized, and disinfected, it's very very infrequently. It feels very poorly run. How dirty it is post-COVID is telling of the culture here and lack of respect for it's patrons. One would expect a gym charging 50-60 dollars a month to be a 50-60 dollar a month gym. This place is ratty and not worth your money. No one seems to care. I go to the gym to feel good and working out in a dark, musty, humid, and uncleaned gym does not make me feel good about myself after a long day of work. I really regret singing here and I don't look forward to my workouts here. TruFit was my old gym, albeit smaller, but very clean and well maintained and a third of the cost. TruFit routinely had people deep cleaning and taking care of the place and making you feel safe. I really don't know where my money goes except for the payroll they seem to burn at the front desk. I came here based of a recommendation and the reviews and would encourage everyone to go in and see it -in-person. Not doing this was my mistake. I came here because it's close to home, but I'd rather sit in traffic and drive to cleaner gym than continue to give this place my money.I a hate to leave any business a 1-star review, but my goodness is this place nasty. I'll be cancelling my membership as soon as Lemay opens up. Take my word for it, this is the grimiest gym in all of Fort Collins and it's old reviews do not reflect it's current condition. This dirty post-COVID is truly unacceptable.

I look forward to this time out of my day EVERY day I go. I LOVE the staff, the trainers, the coaches and the patrons!!! It is truly the best gym experience I have ever had. It is like another family for me - support and comradery abounds!!! If you are in to CrossFit or are interested in trying it out - this is the place to do it!!! If you are into rock climbing - this is the place to do it!! If you want personal training - this is the place to do it!

I've been working out for about 40 years in gyms throughout the US and outside the country and this gym has the worst gym etiquette I have seen. Almost every time I am there, one or more members and, often the trainers, are attempting to save equipment by leaving towels or water bottles sitting on them while they do something else. Often, the "saved" equipment is left in this state, unused for long periods of time. This shows little regard for other members. Good gyms are a community where members and staff support each other. This is lacking here. Rules should be posted and enforced by staff and trainers should teach and model cooperative gym use.

Great staff. Super nice members. It’s always clean and inviting. Had a little trouble at the beginning getting them to produce my husband’s membership fob. Complicated. Still perplexed as to why we had to share our marriage license to get the couple rate. Archaic. Also real medieval. Still, every single interaction with staff has been delightful. This gym is just as good as any other gym I’ve belonged to in Fort Collins so it’s hard to really say join it, but it’s totally worth checking out. Have your marriage certificate ready, folx!

Been with this gym in Fort Collins for almost 1 year now and it's been a good experience overall. The staff are super friendly and always willing to help answer any questions. The facility is kept clean throughout the COVID pandemic, making me feel safe and comfortable that my fellow gym-goers are also doing their part. You clean up your equipment to keep others safe, which is great! Is it everything you could hope for in a gym? That depends. You decided to pay for it, knowing full well what you're paying for 🤷🏼♂️ Since this isn't a 1 location gym, you can find other amenities at other Genesis gyms... but it's expensive even for a single person to go.Thank you for the experience you've provided me and for keeping members safe & healthy as we use your facility 👍

The environment here is so fun and tight knit; a great community committed to bettering themselves through fitness. This place is so unique with both a quality climbing wall and CrossFit gym. This is the place to be if you want to become a gym rat who never wants to leave the weight floor. You are in good hands no matter who your personal trainer is and every interaction with a staff member is a positive one.

I recently joined the CrossFit gym here and I have to say it’s top notch. I’m just getting back into exercising and I’m very rusty. The staff here is extremely keen on technique and does an amazing job supervising each and everyone of us. …
