Of all y s in Ft Wayne I'm not a fan. Weight/cadio room is small and crammed. Their lock room however is pretty awesome

So far just meh. Canceled my PF membership and looking to upgrade so decided to Join the Y, apx $900 for me my GF & kid.Good amount of cardio equipment, weight machines Im finding are a little harder to secure than at PF esp with all the kids just horse playing and not utilizing the equipment properly. Also lots of people in their own world not realizing other around have no interest listening to your music or to you sing your music out loud as though on the start of a new season of American idol.Pool area,,its nice when you find a window to go. We need to pay closer attention to the schedule as we have wasted time attempting to use it a few times,,our fault.I like the sauna but people definitely do not follow the posted rules and staff makes no effort to keep an eye on it from my experience based on 5 trips over the last two weeks.I really like the place when its slow but After only a few weeks the disrespectful unsupervised kids roaming the place and using equipment they have no reason to be using on top of the hours (opens later on Saturday and Sunday, the few days I am able to beat crowds) I will definitely be looking into speice and possibly even back to PF as it simply is the best value if you are simply looking to workout with minimal external variables interfering with your goals.Eta-one month to Go and I do not plan to renew. Almost everytime I come to utilize the pool its closed. Ive came here a half dozen times wheter to work out or swim and and I simply waste time as its closed early on the weekends. Already back to PF. Much better value, 24/7 and they dont charge me for a pool Im unable to use .

There’s nothing for people under 15 to do if you want your kids to work out you should probably take them some where else.

Love the warm pool! Wish the water jets were a little higher, to reach my neck and shoulders, but... The dressing rooms, restrooms, and lockers are always clean. The staff is friendly. All in all, I nice place to spend time.

I joined solely for access to the pool. Unfortunately they frequently have “staffing issues” and close the pool early. Today was one of those days. I don’t understand how they have staff only till 4 pm but not until 5:30? I’m a nurse and have been upstaffed 4 hours after a 12 hour shift. The operating hours are already very slim on the weekends compared to most gyms so to shave them down more is unprofessional.The worst part is that when I told the staff that I was disappointed and asked how they didn’t have staff for only the last 1.5 - 2 hours of being open I was given a rehearsed brief apology (fine, I get it it’s not their specific fault) but then followed up with “it’s stated on our app”. That was irritating. I have the pool schedule and operating hours on my fridge. I have no interest in pool classes. I have no reason to use up space on my phone to get their app only to verify every day that their pool will be open when they say it will be open. I shouldn’t have to babysit them. And I certainly didn’t appreciate the passive aggressive response putting the blame back on me for not checking the app.Anyway I just downloaded the app and am SHOCKED at how frequently the pool is closed early (there are early or full closings on June 16, 22, 23, and today.) That is far too many for just over a 2 week period for an established business! I will definitely have to reevaluate my membership if this pool staffing issue continues especially since it is the ONLY reason I choose to belong here.And note to the staff. Please refrain from further frustrating your customers by passing blame onto them.
