Great gym, period. Dropped in for a month while in the Bay Area for work. I've been doing crossfit for 5+ years across 3 different states and as many gyms, and Dal's programming gave me a greater appreciation for high intensity and had me reevaluating what I look for in a gym. I've been a member at one gym with high turnover that was always geared towards beginners but frustrating for those with more experience, as well as another that leans toward the opposite extreme - very aggressive programming that is great for advanced people but leaves many rehabbing their bad shoulders... This gym nicely threads the needle between those two ends of the spectrum, with prescribed workouts that are challenging for experienced athletes while still being completely scalable and accessible to beginners. Warm-ups are extremely thorough, involving a decent amount of what seemed to me to be similar to power yoga and a decent workout in their own right, so your body gets completely primed for the workout of the day. We did not do much heavy lifting while I was there, but my body was no less sore after hard workouts because of Dal's emphasis on high intensity. It also seemed they have a really good community there. Folks were very welcoming to me as a newcomer.Plenty of space and nice equipment, too. They even have ski ergs, which I had never used before. In short, great programming, welcoming community, and nice facilities. Can't ask for much more.
