I've been coming to this gym for a year. It's pretty tidy, the gym goers are cool and the staff is amazing. There's Eric who works front desk, he remembers people really well and you can have cool conversations with him. There's also Rich, a personal trainer here. He's an older body builder but very helpful with advice and friendly. He helped me notice what was wrong with my bench press technique. The extra facilities like the hydro massage and the Sauna are also good to use as well.My only complaint is that sometimes it feels like this is the only gym in the area. It can get super packed due to the Classes or just everyone is working out that day. Sometimes you gotta wait on a machine. It's a great way to strike up a conversation though.

Honestly the equipment is great, but the environment is VILE. It is so dirty in here and they never clean. I’m literally about to go back to Planet Fitness bc they were way cleaner. I’ve reported literal piles of dirt to staff for months and I come in 4 times a week and still see the same dirt piles (months and months later— I mean at least 4 months). I know my friend has even emailed them too and they said they would but still NOTHING. It’s nasty y’all…

I went in to do my Kick off with a personal trainer, and spoke to Brandon Rosin and signed up for 1x per week to receive personal training, this was on a Thursday. During the signing, Brandon said I could cancel within 24 hrs if I decided I didn’t want to do the training. I called the next day, Friday, within the 24 hr period, and Brandon wasn’t there so the girl, I believe her name was Ema, took my name and number and said she would have him call me. Brandon never called me back so on Monday I called and spoke to Brandon to make sure the personal training was canceled. He said I couldn’t cancel the personal training and when I reminded him that he said I could cancel within 24 hrs, Brandon said that he never said that and I couldn’t cancel. I know there is nothing wrong with my hearing, and I know I heard him say that the document I was signing gave me 24 hrs to cancel. So I went down to the Crunch Fitness location to cancel my entire membership and the girl at the front desk said she wouldn’t be able to cancel my membership due to the personal training account that was still active. Personally I think the whole thing is a scam. Don’t go here to work out unless you wanna get scammed!!! All they are trying to do is rip people off with all their extra services.

This gym is overcrowded at all times. I was never able to use the benches for dumbbells when I got there. It wouldn’t have been much of a problem, I would have just canceled and went to another gym. However, they somehow are allowed to not let you cancel during the first 60 days. I even paid extra to be month to month to not be on a one year contract. They may have been lying to me that I couldn’t cancel or they just get away with these things in their terms. Regardless, it shouldn’t be a term that is allowed. They only allow you to cancel in person. I understand that they want to profit off people who forget they’re paying for gym memberships, but they take it way too far and do everything in their power to not let you cancel.

I’ve been coming to this Crunch location for 3 years now and have yet to have a bad experience here. I’m always greeted when I come in (shoutout Eric, always upbeat and in a great mood) and feel welcomed to be here each and every time. 100% have recommended to friends and convinced them to switch gyms. Best option in Gainesville.

I’ve been going to Crunch since I moved here in august and I’ve had nothing but good things to say about this gym. Every employee I’ve met has been nice and engaging across the board. Everyday I am greeting by Eric at the front desk who is always helpful and always greets me with a smile. I will continue going to Crunch as long as I am in Gainesville. Nothing but good experiences and interactions!

This crunch is pretty nice the only downside is they are always pretty packed best time to go is around 11-3 because there is not as much people but the staff there is nice and they have all the machines you could need also the gym is pretty big but they could use more benches or squat racks because they are always taken

Great gym and great personal trainers. All the staff are kind and Alvaro is the man. He is always super welcoming and know everything happening around (he is the best at answering questions/concerns). Had a great session with Damon as well! Learning a lot here and good atmosphere

Crunch Gainesville is a great gym. Very close to UF’s campus and convenient in between classes. The staff are very kind and welcoming and the overall atmosphere is great! Gets busy during typical peak hours so consider coming early morning or late at night.

Crunch Gainesville is one of the best gyms I have been to in my time working out. Machines are always up to par as well as staff is kind and always ready to answer any question you may have. As a college student this is a great place to work out with a cool and pushing environment.
