Its really rare to find an activity that you can do as a family, that includes everyone, at Alta we have been able to do something as a family even with my youngest at 2 years old and everyone enjoy themselves. The staff and facilities are great! Something for every skill set. What started as a quick visit has turned into a new passion for each of us.

It's tough to find a belay partner at this gym - most of the people are there trying climbing for the first time. Would it be possible to get more frequent resets on the tall autobelay wall? Also, would it be possible to move the short wall autobelays away from the children's area? Children spill over from the play area.

This is a new facility and is attracting a lot of people curious about climbing (which is great), but it's not a "climber's gym" persay. The walls are tall, the facility is new and well lit and air conditioned, but they're missing a good chimney/dihedral for some stemmy moves, a prow for some steep sport climbing, and cracks. FYI they (or somebody) did move some weights up to the hangboard area so you can do weighted hangs. The exercise equipment feels more like hotel fitness room - the pull up bar layout is a little inconvenient because the bars are built into other machines. My last complaint: children. Dear god this place is crawling with poorly behaved rugrats. Unfortunately, the shortwall autobelays are located next to the children's area and children will interfere with your climb. I was reprimanded for climbing with headphones in, but the kids wearing their rental shoes into bathroom got a free pass. Their orientation doesn't seem to educate people on grades, because some kids flailed on a 5.11c for 15 minutes while using holds from 4 routes. I politely asked to climb and they told me "just one more go"...4 times.Alta could be a good gym, but right now it's more of a Chuck E Cheese. Beware.

My family loved it. The workers were so helpful and caring. They really made it a great experience for us. They have so many different climbing walls, that it'd take quite a long time to get to get bored. This place really impressed me. We'll definitely be back

A+ place. They had around 21 automated belay routes and tons of lead climbing routes. Definitely will be coming back here. Best place in the Gilbert valley for climbing. Orientation was quick and helpful for my wife who doesn’t rock climb. Staff was awesome!

This place has such good vibes. The staff is extremely friendly there are a ton of different routes and various levels. The workout faculty is good it just needs a squat rack and it would have everything you need. The spin bikes are some of the best spin bikes on the market and shows your wattage and tracks your progress. But I don’t go to a climbing gym for the weights I’m going to climb. The childrens section is perfect for my 3 year old and my 10 year old. Overall this place is amazing has great staff and not intimidating.
