I joined kraken performance gym after lockdown was lifted and gyms reopened. I was tired of the “corporate” gyms, and the crowds it brought with it. I was looking for a gym that I could feel like more than a number and a place where I could feel myself at. I didn’t want to be judged or made fun of for not being as fit or strong as the others around me and somewhere I could grow and train to my full potential. I followed kraken performance on instagram for almost a year before I went checked it out in person. When I arrived I was surprised how diverse the membership was. There were powerlifters and bodybuilders as well as people recovering from surgeries trying to get their strength back, to the elderly looking for a peaceful place to ride a bike and walk. The co-owners Remi and Ben Lanning are kind, compassionate persons who genuinely care about their members and their needs and concerns as well as their fitness goals. The environment in the gym on any given day is, warm, relaxed, and friendly. No pressure to perform or impress. A good environment to connect and grow with others who are like minded in fitness and physical and mental health betterment. I enjoy training at kraken everyday. I look forward to spending time there and sharing my accomplishments and personal achievements with the other members I’ve connected with. This is a gym for the OutKast’s and angels alike.

Super happy with this gym. Was in town for a week and needed a temporary spot- owner was extremely friendly and accommodating.Clean gym, good range of equipment, reasonable prices, no corporate gym BS. What more can you ask for?

The equipment is more than your average commercial gym. If you’re looking for a place within a personal community this is your place. If you’re more of an introvert this gym can also be for you. Commercial gyms I feel may get crowed at times. The kraken is honestly meant for everyone and is worth taking a look at .

Owner was great at helping me get a pass since I was there visiting and gave me a good price. The gym was clean and had all the essentials for a good workout. I will be going back on my next trip out there and I really appreciate them working with me. Really nice gym.

Place is ALWAYS CLEAN, Great Atmosphere and Excellent Equipment! Staff is courteous folks are friendly and it’s never overcrowded. Right amount of people and never have to “wait” for the equipment you want to use. Conveniently open 24 hours and NO Drama. Recommend this Gym to anyone!!

My husband and I go to Yorktown every so often to visit family and this gym is our home away from home. Very clean and everything is in it's place, so it's easy to navigate. Remmy is super nice accommodating. Already looking forward to our next visit!

My Fiancé joined Kraken about 6 months ago and he absolutely loves it, he says it was the best decision! The owners Ben and Remi are super nice! The gym is very clean and very well kept. We’ve established an awesome friendship with them! They’re great people and super easy to talk to about your goals! If you’re looking for a new gym in the 757 we highly recommend checking out Kraken!

The best smelling, and clean, public bathroom I've ever been in. That's the only reason I come here...Not really, this is a great small gym with all the essential equipment you need for a great and effective workout. The staff is awesome. The other patrons are great.If you want a smaller gym this is the one!

Great place to exercise, Remi, the owner, is there to help and provide personal training and advice if needed. Gym is clean and has the right amount machines needed to workout your entire body. Worth checking out of you are looking for a smaller more intimate place to exercise, also worth the membership price!!
