It's really unfortunate that one person can ruin an entire experience but that's what happened. I signed up for a free trial and was just testing the place out. I've been to other studios before and wanted to give this one a try. My second time there i had a really hard time finding parking and showed up 10 minutes late. I was already frantic and upset for being late but was looking forward to decompressing and re-centering at yoga. Well that didn't happen because I was denied entry into the studio because I was late, I explained my situation and the girl at the front desk basically kicked me out and said I can't go in. I understand that being late is not cool and may disrupt the class, but my friend was already saving a spot for me so there was room and it was my first time being late and my second time at Hartford Sweat so not like I'm a repeat offender. Nevertheless, it left a horrible impression of the studio culture and I will not be signing up (even though I was really excited and looking forward to it because the one class i got to go to was pretty good) and neither will the other 2 people that I was doing a free trial with. There are other yoga studios out there where people treat you with kindness, I highly recommend West Hartford Yoga, great classes, free parking and more importantly nice people. I guess Hartford Sweat cares more about punctuality than being nice and welcoming to new people.

I showed up to Hartford Sweat on my first day having never done yoga before, and being the heaviest I've ever been in my life - it was affecting me physically and mentally. Rakyel was awesome from day one, showing me around, making sure I had water and a mat and such... she really made it a comfortable environment. So if you're staring at your screen right now, reading reviews, trying to decide if you should try it or not (just like I did) - I'm telling you to do it. Do it for future you. Old you can eat it. It's affordable, it's fun - it's also hard work... but I feel better than I have in quite a while, and you should to.10/10 recommended.

The place was immaculate and did not smell. Usually going to other Bikram Yoga studios, smells awful. But Hartford Sweat did not. Also the instructor/owner was awesome!

Hartford Sweat has had such a positive impact on my life since I joined in February of 2018. Every single staff member, from front desk to instructor to the owner, has been more than accommodating. The Hartford Sweat community is super welcoming and classes are a judgement free zone. I cannot recommend this studio enough. (And despite what another user has claimed to experience, they are very reasonable and it is never a problem to enter class 10 minutes late...although I would not advise doing so on purpose). Would give 10 starts if possible!!!

BYDH opened brand new a little more than a year ago. I can't praise this place enough. I've been attending classes here for over a year and it has been an amazing experience. The instructors are very professional and knowledgeable. The studio owner is the nicest person, charismatic and a rising star in the Bikram Yoga milieu. The facilities are always clean and neat and the crowd is so friendly and joyful. There are classes everyday, all throughout the day and evening and every class typically has a fair number of attendees. I thoroughly enjoy it every time I come here and I recommend it to everyone!

"Officially" opened in August, this is a modern, yet simple studio to practice in. A small/solid selection of teachers and classes available with guest teachers coming in on occasion. Location right in downtown Hartford is perfect for those who live and work around the area, or travel through and need a place to stop in.While Bikram may not be for everyone in the yoga selections, it's a great complement to the existing yoga studios in the area given its focus. Class schedule offers enough choices and prices are right in line compared to what other studios offer.
