Consistently weird about who can attend open gym, which they publicly advertised. Turned experienced people away because it's for "employees and their friends only". Management texted and emailed serious concerns and then never returned my response. Wildly unprofessional. Don't go here.

The Goods: Speaking as a former business owner, this place as a BUSINESS checks all boxes. I LOVE the speedy response when I contacted them thru email. I also liked the fact that the person whom I spoke to not only was knowledgeable and eell versed in the programs they offered but also volunteered to give us (me and my family) a tour of one of the classes for the evening. Alot of people are on the fence about committing so their confidence and appeal to their marker was a great driving factor. They have a well lit gym, that's very spacious and has different areas for the different programs they offer and skills sets of each child. They service children of all different ages, shapes, genders sizes and skill level. They are fully staffed and the class sizes ate pretty small (6-8 particularly) . They have a viewing area above and below (on a mega projector downstairs) for parents that don't want to miss a beat. There snacks, beverages, gym equipment, souvenirs and a decent size play area for the kiddies too young to enroll. They have spaces for the kids to place their items. Even if your still on the fence they offer 2 classes as a trial period for you to find out if it's for you.The Ugly: The part that they automatically bill you is abrasive. And the parking lot being in the back is cool but there's no back entrance so you have to walk back up to the front. Street parking is usually crowded. The parking next door is another option but it's usually crowded too. So it's best to try to find street parking or arrive early enough to get decent parking

I have been taking my kids to the Rise Gym for the past year and think its about time I posted a review. First off, the facility is top notch with nice equipment all around and is well maintained / cleaned by the staff. Airflow is good through It was a little warm at the beginning of summer. However, they installed giant evaporator fans that have cooled things down significantly. My kids are enrolled in Ninja and they consistently have a great time every week. The coaches are great, especially Johnny and Jason, who have done a great job motivating the kids and keeping things fun and lively. Classes are organized and I have noticed that my kid's hand/eye coordination and strength have improved. The front desk ladies, including Cindy and Debbie, are professional and have always answered all my inquiries and requests promptly to my satisfaction. All in all, I would highly recommend this business to any parents that would like their kids to participate in organized physical activities.

Don’t waste your time here. As a young black professional, this place did not meet my standards as far as customer service and professionalism goes. Commuting all the way from Downtown Long Beach to come to this place just seemed like a nightmare at times. For one, my daughters coach started off being kind, however, as classes went on she barely even spoke or paid any attention to my daughter while doing the gymnastics routines. She literally looked as if she was not in the mood on several occasions and as mentioned paid my daughter no mind to where my daughter would be standing there waiting for confirmation. Younger children need positive reinforcement, it’s psychology, and with the former coach, my daughter was not getting that. Other experienced instructors are more hands on and a bit more enthusiastic to coach the Shining Stars class. Professionalism at the front desk could be better as well, as my first time coming for class here, I was looked and stared at like I was someone coming from off the street and barely receive a smile or hello. I can definitely pick up bad vibes and tried to ignore it so many times but I just can’t be fake like the staff here. My daughter will be attending a gym that is closer to home and is way more professional as we received a referral to this gym originally. There are a lot of parents who come to the Rise gym and look like their kids enjoy it. It’s a great gym and organized classes but just not for us.

This was my first time visiting my step son at practice. It's a nice lil hidden gem in Hawthorne. The staff is friendly and extremely patient with new students.

Wonderful!!!! This a dynamic experience for all kinds of kids; teenytiny tots, shy kids, go get 'em kids, "tweenagers," every child who enters its going to be attended to with care. The facility is brand spanking new. Take your children to these trustworthy people.

The staff has been kind and helpful since day one. I love that there are so many classes to choose from and that the facility is clean. The coaches keep my 4 year old entertained while simultaneously teaching her the fundamentals. She looks forward to her sessions each week. I'm extremely happy that I chose to bring her here.
