Gracie Jiu-Jitsu

I greatly dislike writing reviews like this as I like Cello, the lead instructor as a person, and you can tell that he has talent. This review covers kids classes, as we don’t have any insight into the adult sessions. Unfortunately, after months of going to this place, the truth is that the kids classes are poorly managed and understaffed. I’ve witnessed kids hitting each others with belts, not participating (causing a disruption), and even purposely coughing on other people and none of these were addressed by staff until pointed out by a parent. Theres a sign that says “Parents please no coaching”, which is ironic, when we just went through an entire lesson without any coaching from the instructor after they did the initial demonstration. The most frustrating part is that there are often other individuals who could help out, but are usually staring at their phones.

I am a pilot and travel around 200 days a year for work and in a different city almost every night. One of my favorite things to do while traveling is find jiu jitsu gyms to train at so I can meet more of the jiu jitsu community around the world and meet cool local people. Gracie Jiu Jitsu Henderson was exactly the type of place I love to find! Professor Braga along with the entire team was incredibly welcoming and fun to train with. If I am ever in Henderson again this is absolutely the place I will come train at. I highly recommend anyone at any age come check it out, you won’t regret it!

Excellent instructors! Cello Braga , and Kelly Davina Braga. This couple really knows what they're doing!! Learning the art of Gracie Jiu-jitsu is very challenging and rewarding if you stick with it. I highly recommend this place!!

This place is great I have been training there for about 3 or 4 months now they are very friendly and helpful. They go slow when showing a move which is really helpful and always wants everyone to try their best! Would definitely recommend it to anyone trying to learn ground control!

Can’t wait to attend

Wouldn't recommend going here. I was visiting a friend for a few months back in February. I wanted to stay active because I train a little back at home. I decided to go back home in April. Have been trying to cancel my membership since April because I can't physically attend lessons. I have emailed and called them multiple times and no one will answer. But they sure know how to send out emails reminding me that my payment is due. And then automatically withdrawing the payment from my account. Then sending a thank you for payment email.

This place is great, they have amazing teaching and a very friendly and inviting environment, love it!!!
