Tiger Rock falls into the same trap that a lot of schools do and that is while they gear themselves more towards kids, they have a very option lacking adult program. While Tiger Rock has every right to rock their business model toward their liking, they need to understand that not every adult is looking for the latest modern trend and/or fitness plan. Considering where they are located at, the options for more traditional programs are very lacking unless you are willing to drive an hour or so to either Charlotte or Raleigh. Just something they should at least consider.

This establishment provides excellent training for individuals of all ages, from toddlers to adults. The coaches and staff are attentive and dedicated to helping students improve their skills. In addition to regular training, they also offer special events and training sessions, as well as summer camps. The primary focus is on Taekwondo, with additional self-defense techniques incorporated into the curriculum. For adults, specific classes in kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu are also available. This is a fantastic place to learn self-defense and build self-confidence.

I've been practicing jujitsu there for a few months. I can say that all the people I've met are good, decent, and have their egos in check, which is very important when considering where to train (especially when you hear about all the horror stories of people choosing the wrong academy and quiting and or getting injured after a few sessions/ weeks). The professors have a clear lesson plan and objective for each session/week. The higher ranking belts work with the white belts to help them grow. If you ask for help, they'll give it, if you just want to roll, they'll do that and tap you out 😀. The more advanced you get, the more techniques you can use and have used against you, so the rolling intensity grows with time/experience.

Not sure why this has so many good reviews but they aren't accurate and seem fake. We are a traveling white and purple belt who called to see if we could drop in. Staff seemed welcoming, but asked us to call back later just to confirm we would show up. When we did so 2hrs later and were right outside, they told us that their policy says no drop-ins are allowed. We went inside to try to speak with them and clear up any confusion, but they turned us away saying "we're not equipped for that." The woman who was a short blonde middle-aged lady was rude and unprofessional.Snyder Martial Arts redirects to the same site as Tiger Rock. Even if we move to the area, we will not be back ever. What a shame that we had no time after driving here to try out any other welcoming schools as they were all closed and it was too late.

Outstanding program! Caring, skilled instructors teach at age-appropriate levels even to our 4 year old. As parents we love to watch the classes in the viewing area and see how the teachers consistently emphasize listening to teachers and parents. We did the summer promotional package on a whim and have decided to continue! Seeing progress already in our little one after only a few lessons. Great times options too that allow for working schedules. Staff are friendly and supportive, and facility is clean and easy to navigate!

Wonderful establishment and staff. They do an amazing job with the kids/teenagers. The fun and positive environment provided for them is awesome. After school care is also a wonderful benefit, as it’s one of the few after school programs where they focus on making sure after school responsibilities are handled. In the adult classes, they get to work and make sure your time is well spent during your class sessions. The level of experience and knowledge is incredible to be around and be a part of. You can clearly tell they want everyone involved to succeed and reach their highest level possible even beyond the mats!
