Vagner Rocha Martial Arts

My children and I have trained at the school for 8 yrs and it's been an excellent experience. I myself am a 20 veteran Police officer in the city of Miami. Comprehensive classes for both adults and children and a great friendly staff. Vagner himself is a world champion with a wealth of experience in both competing and teaching Jiu-jitsu to anyone willing to come in and try it out. I myself have won several tournaments under his training and at the age of 45. The confidence your child or children will get will carry over to school and every day life. Both my children trained at the school and I had the privilege to see them progress into the adult classes with me.Come to the school give it try it's a great parent child bonding experience for both mom or dad, son or daughter.

I have been training at Vagner Rocha Martial Arts for just over a year and I have to say it is the highest quality spot around. Vagner is an outstanding teacher and spends one on one time with all of his students making adjustments and perfecting technique. There is nowhere else that you can receive this level of instruction from an active wold champion. The atmosphere is incredible and everyone treats you like family. Made me feel like I was right at home. I highly recommend this Academy. Professor vagner is hands on great instructor. I loved the technique and how many times he makes us drill it. It's was a great experience.

I joined this school less than a Year ago and I only have good things to say. All the instructors are very dedicated, professional and friendly. Vagner, the main instructor is also very knowledgeable and always eager to teach. He gives a lot of attention to every student. But more importantly, the atmosphere is very relaxed and family oriented. Whatever your age or level, there is a place for you at this school. The team is very competitive but there is also room for people who do martial arts as a hobby. I've traveled all around the world and visited many Bjj schools, so far this one is the best by far.

AMAZING GYM ! MY DAUGHTER ATTENDED HER FIRST SUMMER CAMP THERE AND LOVED IT. THE INSTRUCTERS WERE VERY PROFESSIONALY MADE ME FEEL SUPER COMFORTABLE WITH LEAVING HER FOR THE FIRST TIME. THERE IS A REAL FAMILY FEEL INSIDE AND YOU CAN TELL HOW MUCH EVERYONE CARES ABOUT TEACHING AND HELPING EACH STUDENT WHETHER LITTLE OR BIG. SHE WAS SO EXCITED I STARTED HER IN THERE KIDS CLASS AND WHILE SHE ATTENDED I WAS ABLE TO TAKE STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING CLASSES. NEVER FELT STRONGER OR IN BETTER SHAPE AFTER JUST A COUPLE WEEKS! REALLY GREAT PLACE CANT SPEAK HIGHLY ENOUGH ABOUT IT!!

I've been training jiujitsu(bjj) for about 7 years now. i have attended other school before. i recently moved to the broward area and wanted great school to join. A good friend of mine told me about Vagner Rocha school in pembroke pines so i decided to check it out. Coming in as a purple belt, i could tell u technic is key. It's now been 12 months since i joined. He has corrected a lot of small details in my game i would miss in key moments, an in BJJ that's what determines submission an just surviving. VRMA has great structure, discipline, attendance , an family environment. Vagner R. and Ruben A. (BJJ) black belts leading the way. I would like to thank them and the rest of the team for receiving me with open arms.WANT A GREAT SCHOOL, THIS IS IT!

I started here about 3 1/2 years ago and i was looking for great jiujitsu with a good teacher that took the time to know all his students.(do to the fact thats how my other school was) what i found was a very technical school full of awesome and very tuff students as well as a great teacher full of knowledge.Everybody heres competes and always gets at least top 3 if not 1st place so that shows how good this school is. My son started here about a month ago he's 12 and his progress is exceptional and due to the personal attention the teachers give overall my very happy I'm here and plan on staying here for the long haul come by you will not be disappointed......

For those who ware looking to get healthy, gain some confidence, get in shape, make great friends and learn the best form of martial arts from one of the best in the world today, then you need to be training at VRMA, when I started over a year ago I was an overweight, out of shape Marine Veteran, a year later I am healthier, stronger than I was while I was serving as a U.S. Marine, more focused and found something that me and my boys who also train at VRMA can do together. My boys love traning at VRMA. Vagner and his instructors treat them as family. I am very over protective of my children and I can honestly say I can leave my children in thier care and know everything is going to be all right. Vagner and his instructors have helped my sons overcome their fears, confidence and self esteem issues, and learning disabilities. They have become more diciplined, focused and respectful. Since traning at VRMA my sons have become better students in school getting better grades, and taking on more challenging assignments and rsponsibilities in the class room. My family and will not train anywhere else. The staff and students at VRMA are more than just instructors and sparring partners to Team Rodgers, they have become family. I would recommend this gym to anyone, no matter your experience and fitness level at VRMA you'll see the difference.

I live in Plantation and drive to Pembroke Pines three to four nights a week for my 13 year old son to train with Vagner at VRMA. There are a lot of places where he could train that much closer to our home, but I have found that Vagner and all the guys there push him to do his best and do it with respect. He is not only learning BJJ from one of the best practitioners in the state (and he's learning well I will say - he has the medals and swords to prove it!) he is also learning about hard work, commitment, dedication and being a part of a team. The all around confidence my son has gained in the past year is well worth the drive and I would highly recommend Vagner and VRMA to anyone!
