Planet Fitness is the most affordable gym in the Metro area, and with so many locations there's nearly always one nearby. I go at about 10PM and have my run of the place. They only close on major holidays. If you enjoy tanning, upgrading to the Black Card gives you access to tanning booths and beds at a much more affordable rate than tanning parlors. The massage beds and chairs are another great amenity that comes with the Black Card.As of July 2018, a regular membership is $10 per month and the Black Card is $23. I'm only giving 4 stars because when I upgraded to the Black Card, the employees told me it was $20 per month when it was in fact $23 and it took several months of calls and questions before an employee remembered that rates had gone up some time ago. Aside from not being well informed, employees are friendly and courteous!

Very clean and well-maintained. Members are encouraged to clean machines after use and, due to the quantity of paper towel/sanitizer stations, they usually do. The staff is generally pleasant.There is plenty of equipment available, even during peak times. Although they don't have barbells, they do offer 4 Smith machines and a variety of dumbbells.

This place is clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. As with most gyms in the area it gets really busy during peak hours. The great thing is everyone I've seen at the gym politely wipes down the equipment after they use it and the gym has plenty of stations with paper towels, and cleaning spray.

Watch out. This gym will randomly charge you $40 8 weeks after you sign up for what they say is an "annual" fee - if you ask why you are being charged this when you paid $50 dollars to sign up and what the fee is for or why it is charged at a random time you are told - BECAUSE. And get no more explanation than that. When you complain that no one told you would be charged this fee or you would never have signed up you are told that it is your fault for not reading the contract carefully enough and called a liar for saying you weren't told about it at the initial sign up. I want to quit my contract but they will penalize me $60 if I do so I am stuck. This was a terrible deal and I wish I could go back in time and not have signed up with such brutal thieves as Planet Fitness.

First visit was horrible. First off, you can't bring in a gallon of water? that's how much I drink when I work out yet they don't judge? I'm 6"3 and 200lbs. I'm in pretty good shape and I thought this place might be a good gym considering how cheap it was. Well I was wrong. They are horrible. I tried to give them another shot but then my girlfriend went with me and about 10 minutes in to workin out she told me a employee walked up to her and said she was cheating by holding on to the sides of he treadmill.... no judgements right? Ok... so your whole gym is based off of no judgements however you tell people they can't wear certain things and can't drink certain sizes of water and you promote servicing pizza and giving candy at your counter. Then on top of all of that you have unqualified employees working for you that don't know anything about fitness so you just want cheap people to come and go but don't care about your customers.... I'm disappointed this gym isn't a gym. I have been in fitness for a long time and work with please every day that try to get in better shape and improve there health. This gym isn't the answer your looking for.

The gym has a nice, clean setup. Members have access to free consultations to get workout routines tailored to their needs. The woman doing it took extra time out to show me the machines and help me understand which muscles to use. Seriously worth every dollar.

Don't pay the $20 to "go to any of them". That is what I did, and what I was told, yet you can only go to others with a limited number of visits. The manager here at The Shawnee location just told me there is not a customer service number …

Great place, nice, friendly staff, and very clean. Keep an eye on your cell phones though. Seriously doubt that the club is liable for your own irresponsible acts. And I'm not sure what someone would do with the video. The importance of the first 24 hrs is usually held for a murder or homocide. The police ain't got no time to look for your cell phone either haha
