First time coming to this gym and it was an awesone experience, even though it was rush hour(6pm). It might not been the best planet fitness I've been to, but it was better than "so so".I read some reviews... It seems people's reviews are based on expectations from other type of business, not this kind.This is not a security company; there are signs posted " protect your belongings".This is a business not a "free trials" company. If you want free stuff, ask your relatives.This is a(GYM) its purpose is to get in shape/fit. Its for you to enjoy your workouts, but if you are gonna be checking every person and how more fit they are than you and make you feel bad about yourself, then your mind needs some recalculation. I see most of the people working out when im working out are in better shape and more fit than me. ...that's my motivation!!!

Today was my first time to visit Planet Fitness and my fiancée and I ended up with a black card. Membership was really inexpensive compared to others. Equipments are very new and modern. Everything seems well maintained. I could have given 5 stars but there is a reason why I took one star off. The security of parking lot seems a problem. The car parked next to my car got broken in. After finishing workout, my fiancée and I were so happy until we saw the scene. We initially thought some car stepped a beer bottle since so many tiny glass pieces all over the ground next to my car. But it was the window glass pieces of the next car. We were kind of shocked and told it to the staff. They said like WOW this happened again, which was another surprise to us. I think the strip mall the gym located seems little bit outdated and less crowded except the Planet fitness. I felt most space of the parking lot was very dark, and don't know even they had security cameras. They should install more lights, install security cameras, put some warning sign, or hire some kind of security patrols. It was totally not a great thing to witness as a first-day member of Planet Fitness.

Friendly staff that is very helpful, facility is always spotless, even the locker room smells good lol ..free pizza night is my favorite night of the month. If you're interested in joining a fitness center this is one worth checking out..Black card members get free tanning and hydro massage bed and loungers among other perks

Do not sign up if you plan on ever having to cancel. Moved out of state and have been trying for the past 4 months to cancel my membership. I spoken with multiple manager, sent in the required material (yes, you must buy special postage to cancel from out of state), and have still not had my account cancelled. The entire time I have been charged for a gym I cannot attend. Their best solution yet? Transfer my membership to a gym 1.5 hrs away so that I can drive there in person and cancel.If you want a gym with decent equipment (only broken once a week or so), with leaky roofs (still hadn't gotten the air conditioning fixed last time I was in there), and lazy staff, sign up here. If you want a decent gym pay a bit more for something better.

At first I was skeptical, and the whole 'judgment free zone' was pushed so much that I felt like it was judgmental. But, after going there for a few months now, I really enjoy it. For the most part, a majority of the workers seem laid back and friendly. I do have to say Erica at Planet Fitness in Shawnee is very friendly and awesome. She gives a great tour and is very quick to explain anything and everything you need to know!

I used to be with 24 Hour fitness for almost 10 years, I switched to PF for one reason, the attitude of the employees were extremely rude at 24 HRS Fitness, here at PF even thou i dont go every day, i never had a problem with the staff, i find them friendly and helpful, i usually go and do my workout and leave, i think the gym is great, it have all what i needits a great place to workoutI used to pay $30 a month at 24 HRS fitness, i pay now $10.i love this place including all the nice people that workout there.

First gym I've had a membership at. Just got the black card for $1 down and $20/month for 12 months. Not bad considering you get massage chairs, hydro massages and tanning included. Good clean gym, lockers rooms are small but clean. This is a gym for working out, so there is no swimming pool, basketball, etc. If tot wanna just workout this is for you at a cheap price!

This is a pretty good gym and with the price, it's really hard to complain. I mean, you get basic and advanced workout equipment 24/7 with a nice and friendly staff for only $10. I don't think the black card membership is worth it but it's better than 24 hour. I quit 24 hour to come to this one. One thing I really wish is that it had a swimming pool. Also, 99% of the machines are in great condition and ALL of show detailed instructions. This gym is perfect for beginners and people who would like to stay fit. The no-judge zone is a great idea and works... for the most part. There are no world class, intimidating weight lifters working out right next to you... ever. All in all, probably the best gym in this area for your average person.

Had a great experience here today! The staff was friendly, they gave me a tour, and were willing to answer any questions that I had about the facility. The facility itself is organized and clean. I ended up becoming a black card member and don't regret it one bit! The hydromassage after my workout made me feel so relaxed, which is exactly what I needed. For being a college student and having to budget money, I would definitely recommend planet fitness!
