I have been climbing here for 5 years and I still LOVE this place. I highly recommend it for people who have been bouldering and want to head outdoors to climb at Red River Gorge (The Red). I especially noticed that people who have been claiming at North mass Boulder, i've really gained a lot of skills from taking a class at Epic to learn how to climb with ropes (top rope and lead climb) before climbing outside. It's really critical to learn safe rope skills in the gym, before outdoor climbing. They have a great variety of climbing walls. Good for beginners that want to learn more or experienced climbers. The staff is really friendly and EPIC has an inclusive climbing culture. (For example: Sometimes someone will have a slack rope set up and will invite you to try it, even if they don't know you. Very cool!) The classes are really neat. They've got climbing classes as well as yoga and acrobatics. I still want to try the aerial silks!

We had a class with Kahlea and it was fantastic. I had never rock climbed before, but within the hour I was feeling confident both on the wall and belaying. The gym itself is huge and has an amazing variety for climbing.

If I could give this place a 6th star I would. The routes there are fantastic, but the service is what made my day. Susan was such a joy to be around. I was there on a day pass without a partner and she offered to give me a couple catches when she had time. Her joyfulness and banter were so fun to be around. I wish I lived closer so that I make this place my home gym.

I came in today (5/8/22) with my friends for an intro to climbing class with Gavin. We had a fantastic time. He was super fun while also giving us great instructions. We all learned a ton and had a blast doing it. The class was meant to end at 2:30pm, but Gavin was happy to teach us well past the end time. He made such a great impression. I definitely will be coming back and telling my friends.

The staff is fantastic, and the gym has a very welcoming atmosphere for climbers of all skill levels. There are a ton of routes to choose from, and the route setters work diligently to set new routes frequently enough to not burn out on the same routes. I can’t say enough about how great this climbing gym is!

Since my first time there, Epic has treated me and everyone I've seen them interact with as family. They're extremely passionate about the sport and it translates into everything that they do. They offer every new guest a tour of the facility. They have a wonderful 1.5 hour class that allows you to learn to belay and become more proficient in climbing which also includes a 2 week membership. This allows for free admission and rentals, as well as 10% off at their store, and a couple other perks I'm sure I'm forgetting, all for only $40. All of their prices are very reasonable, and they have the biggest facility and most routes I've seen under one roof. Lots of space for lots of climbers. The staff has even offered to belay me when I've gone solo. All around one of, if not THE best gym in the state. Although that statement is subjective, I would highly recommend you come check them out and give them a chance to welcome you into the family. 8/5 stars.
