As I walk in, the smell of testosterone, sweaty college dudebro, and progress slaps me harder than a wet sack of mice. The Power Café to the right looks like an innocent little smoothie shop, but the sandwiches and smoothies contained within could singlehandedly rebuild the economy. Prices are decent considering the infinite amount of things there is to do in this workout paradise. There is a recreational pool and a workout pool. There is an indoor track where people run. There are treadmills where people also run but don't actually move. There are so many weight lifting machines I got lost in the maze and had to call my mom crying to come find me. Every time I enter, my muscles start to roar in anticipation, for they know they're about to get the workout of their frickin life. If you want to get swole and become the ultimate Chad in body, spirit, and alternate realities, come to this recreation facility.

Great facilities, staff not as useful as they could be, I will give them credit for improving in this regard. Facilities are a total disaster from december-march, partly because sand and salt tracked in on non-workout shoes coat the weights and machines, and partly because the place is always packed (no treadmills or racks available even at 11 pm).

Disappointed to find out the kids area doesn’t open until 4:30pm during the summer. Otherwise a nice facility.

Having been a student at Iowa for the last year and a half, I can comfortably say that this building has an abundance of resources for students, faculty, etc. I enjoy how spacious the facility is along with hot helpful the staff usually are. Would recommend coming here when it’s not TOO busy! ❗️❄️

Vast and beautiful rec center that's open to the public. $10 for a day pass and it's well worth it.3 basketball courts, tons of weight lifting equipment and and a recreation pool area + lap pools and giant rock walls. There is surely more but what I noticed while here!NOTE: Pools closed 1:30 to 4:30

Amazing facility! This is truly one of the best college recreation centers in our country. There is a large selection of fitness equipment, and a fun pool area for kids as well as a large Olympic pool area. There are indoor basketball courts and an indoor track. They also have a rock climbing wall and some healthy concessions. Our kids loved the large hot tub, the sauna and the steam room.

Moderately fast pool for swimming competitions is housed in the Campus Rec Center. Seating is adequate for collegiate competition but a bit small for large USA Swimming meets.

What a great facility! State of the art. So many areas to lift weights and workout. The pool was amazing! Rock wall was an added bonus!
