Went in to ask about how to join, but they were definitely not welcoming. They seemed to not want me around (I happen to be a brown guy). I work in the area, and I happen to look inside as i pass by, and there are no people of color as far as I have seen. It looks like an exclusive frat in my opinion.

CrossFit Kilo2 changed my life. This place is a great place to make friends, get very fit or train to compete.The members here are very kind and helpful. The owners, Austin and Meredith, truly care about their members and are very helpful to everyone. The coaches are not only incredible athletes but also great individuals as well.Nobody is judged by their physique or physical abilities. I had no experience whatsoever, but Austin, Meredith, and coaches helped me correctly do my exercises safely.Everyone at CrossFit Kilo2 is so friendly and helpful.My suggestion is to ask questions, not miss days, make friends, and you will see yourself transform into a healthy ripped athlete of any age.

Super knowledgeable, kind, and caring coaches at Kilo II who make working out fun and competitive. I’ve never enjoyed working out so much. Dump your gym memberships and headphones and become part of an experience!

The best gym in Iowa City hands down. I’ve been to a LOT of CrossFit gyms over the past year+ while traveling for work and the facilities, coaching and community here stand far above the rest. The workouts are challenging and you’ll never get bored as it’s always different.

Very welcoming and a great community to be a part of. It can be for anybody and I mean anybody.... there are 50/60 year-olds and 20 year-olds in the same class. Everything can be modified or scaled down to fit your needs. I currently have an ankle injury and am now at my 3 of 6 month healing period. I can even do some of the workouts. It's a great place to be and a great way to be overall healthy without getting bored at the gym. The owner really values safety over speed/ weight. I really appreciate that the coaches are always giving tips and making sure good form is used.

Awesome gym, has been my first CrossFit experience and I’ve loved it. Austin and all the coaches are fantastic CrossFit coaches and good people.
