Good training, good attitudes. Quite durable chairs.

This is one of the most impressive shows of skill, knowledge, and over all spirt I've ever seen in any instructive course. This is not just a lifeless karate class, and that's obvious just from a 1 minute video.

Michael is an awesome instructor. I always feel comfortable here, even as a beginner.

The time I had with Sensei Cody was truly unforgettable. His hands on training will allow you to grasp what you at first cannot. Under his tutelage not only will you leave the dojo with outstanding self defense training. But, you will also leave bettering yourself.

Mr. Cody is very impressive, skilled, friendly and helpful. I highly recommend him to anyone who wants to learn real martial arts. Go see him, you won't be disappointed.

I have a lot of fun in class and learning the history of where the art came from is a nice bonus to me. Weapons are also integrated from the get go. What we learn is actual self-defense and combat, not just route memorization of a kata. Highly recommended.

Words can not describe the amount of knowledge and skills I have learned from this dojo thus far. The people are great and are very quick to help you play catch up if you feel like you're not getting it. The skills are solid and if you miss any sessions, you are given the tools to see what you missed out on. It is NOT a martial art, but instead a warrior art. The skills taught were actually used in a brutal time period of Japan and it was developed with the idea of survival in mind as opposed to martial arts that are often developed in peace time conditions.I highly recommend this dojo.

I trained off and on with this group for a while before moving to Murfreesboro. Michael Cody is a really great guy and it's obvious that he really knows his stuff! He is respectful and very open to questions. You can expect to learn not just the kata but to see how they can be applied to modern day as well. He is also very good at explaining why we move the way we do in the Bujinkan. Don't expect the training to be easy though, he really makes you work for it!

Best Dojo in Knoxville! If you're a woman/Girl, you know how important it is to be able to defend ourselves and our family. The instructor is really patient and knowledgeable, he makes sure that you understand the techniques and that they are effective. This class gives you a real confidence boost so you can walk through life knowing you're safer. I really recommend that if you are a female you should sign up.

You will learn a lot if you stick with it. In everything, Japanese culture too. Not just the bijinkan system, but everything. You might even see the stories Hollywood does in a whole new light, or what is really just Hollywood. The instructor is very knowledgeable, and will tell you what is wrong when a kata or form is improperly executed. Which can be very important in a myriad of situations. And the instructor is easy to get in touch if you need to. It isn't easy to learn the system, but he does a good job at helping you learn it.
