Been a member there since they opened. Glad there is a new owner. It is a nice place with good people I also go to another gym and cleaning and being friendly -fixing broke equipment is an important aspect to success and they have that.

The gym has everything I need to get the workouts I want to do. I like the smaller gym atmosphere. I would love to have another area for barbell benching, but the current set-up works great for me.

This is a great, well equipped gym. I'm especially happy that they have the 12 Nautilus One machines that I need for my workout plans. Alan is the owner and a former physical therapist so he's great to have available for personal training. So glad I found it, and it's near my home.

Rebel Fitness recently went under new ownership. I've been a member for 5+ years and since the new owner took over the gym has made a complete transformation, all for the better. Better clientele, machine and benchs have been repaired and maintained, clean smelling/appearing bathrooms and just a really fun place to exercise and get your sweat on. The price is well within the average especially for the area (Summerlin) and very convenient for all of the Southwest residents. What I enjoy most about the new ownership is there are rules which are strictly enforced and wow it really makes a difference; all for the benefit of it's members. If you haven't been to Rebel Fitness then at least stop by and check it out. It's a really great place and you'll enjoy meeting the new owner and meeting some of it's members.

I would tend to agree with Ashley's post on this place. I also read management's snotty ghetto retort about her attempt to cancel her membership. Based solely on her circumstances, they should have apologized and offered her a refund on the spot. They are not out anything at all if a member does not use the service. I had a similar experience with this outfit this week. When I initially joined, the manager flip-flopped several times on whether I would be entitled to the complimentary 1-hour personal training. I nearly walked out at that point. Then, when he finally acquiesced after I had to push for it, turns out the personal trainer he picked for me was surly and curt as well. Not a good start to things when they cannot make you feel welcome and comfortable right out of the gate. I tried to cancel 3 days later without ever having come in one single time, yet I still hadn't heard back from management so I had to go through my bank to file a fraud claim to get it done. No one is generally there and answering phones ... or even returning calls or emails ... during normal business hours, even when you leave voice mail. They charge members $25/month when they have no dressing room, lockers, showers, spa or any of the other standard amenities that most gyms in the area have that charge the same per month or less. Just a small commuter gym.WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!UPDATE: I finally did hear back from the gym manager. He took a defensive posture with me and stressed during the call that he would NOT be willing to issue any kind of refund, notwithstanding that I never once used the gym membership. It's no wonder they have to use Groupon to try to attract new members.FURTHER UPDATE: This sleazy outfit tried to bill my debit card for another month despite the fact that I cancelled my membership a month ago. I suspected they would continue to try to do this so I had them permanently blocked by the fraud department at my bank.
