Prime Martial Arts

Prime Martial Arts will forever be the place that changed mine and my family's lives in the most positive way possible! We've trained there for more than 3 yrs now and have received nothing less than the best instruction in martial arts, self defense and life skills. Mr. Golden and Mr. Base provide an amazing environment to learn; from a beginning white belt to high-ranking black belt, all are treated with respect and genuine care. Best of the best, no doubt!!

Prime is incredible! The instructors are beyond wonderful and the students are a family! Everyone who trains at Prime is treated with respect and pushed to reach their full potential! My family has been a part of Prime Martial Arts since they opened. I cannot be any more pleased with our experience. Every family member has been involved in some capacity throughout the years. The instructors provide top of the line training in martial arts (my son has been ranked in top 3 in the world) while also teaching valuable life lessons such as perseverance, integrity, and self- discipline. Mr. Golden, Mr. Base and Ms. Brinkley go above and beyond for their students, taking the time to get to know each student and using a variety of teaching methods to reach all students. Prime provides a wide range of opportunities for everyone- self- defense, kick boxing, Tiny Tiger Program, Leadership Program, Legacy Program, competition, and so much more. My children have learned to compete as an individual, are more courageous, more confident and have become stronger leaders because of their experience at Prime.

Prime Martial Arts is the place to take your child to learn not just martial arts but amazing life skills. Our son is 12 now and has been here since he was six. The discipline, respect, integrity, and hard work he has been taught by Mr. Golden, Mr. Base, and Ms. Brinkley, will help him in all facets of his life. We feel so blessed to have found these people who we now consider family. They have helped mold our child into something that I don't think he would've been without them. Martial arts is a lifelong sport and I do believe he will participate his entire life and he could never imagine training at any other school besides Prime.

My 7-year old daughter has been going to Prime for almost two years now. We had dabbled in activities like dance and gymnastics through the City of Lawrence before trying martial arts. We attended a demo class and immediately fell in love with Mr. Golden, the owner, and the family vibe that just radiated from the place. Ever since then, my daughter has loved going to classes, meeting and growing friendships, and working with Mr. Base and Ms. Brinkley. The instructors are great teachers, patient, and loving. They support kids as a whole, not just in their martial arts techniques (though, they are amazing with that too of course). My daughter has never stuck with an activity longer than a few months, and she wants to keep going to Prime until she's a Grand Master ha! This place has truly been part of our family, and my daughter has gained confidence and has a support network of people who love her, other than her parents. Best investment I've ever made.

Prime Martial Arts is the best!!! My daughter absolutely LOVES the instructors (Ms. Brinkley and Mr. Base). They are so great with all the kiddos. Although my daughter chose to take a temporary break, she told me she will really miss Ms. Brinkley and Mr. Base. Fortunately, they offer an awesome kickboxing class for adults, so she can go with me to get her "fix" for these awesome instructors on Saturday AM.If you are looking for an outstanding martial arts program for your kid(s) or yourself, this is the place. I am thankful we found Prime. Not only did my daughter become more confident as a person, but her mama (me) gained some awesome strength and muscle in the adult kickboxing class!
