When they “updated” this gym, they got rid of some good equipment, didn’t replace it and cut off the basketball court and made it a useless cash grab you have to pay extra for, to only be able to go into for classes that don’t exist. You can’t even go in there to use the fan bikes. They literally tore that place to shreds. Other than being able to deadlift, and the new machines, that is the worst LA Fitness anywhere around Houston.

Really like the upgrade! And it seems the entire staff has changed, too. Everyone seems very friendly and enthusiastic. I've even seen the sales and front desk staff helping out with cleaning and maintenance...not something you see unhappy employees doing. Great place to work out.

Removal of Basketball court while also trying to get money out of customers making that area of the gym membership only. What’s the point of having a membership in the first place if we have to pay for a second membership to access areas of the facility. Also the locking of the door an hour before close everyday. We as members don’t get a discount on rate for the hours you choose to not be open for us. And you decide to close before your actual hours of operations says your closed. Take care of your members that will improve retention, not money grabs!!

This was my first visit post-renovation. The gym is cluttered. The machines are too close to each other. They removed the basketball court and replaced it with a private training area that was totally empty; in fact the trainers were using machines outside of the “private” training room. I have canceled my membership and I would advise others to do the same. Why pay more and get less?!

I went to the club to get a quick work out on 10/29/23 shortly after 6PM (the gym closes at 7PM). The door was locked and the receptionist opened the door and told me that they don’t allow entrance after 6PM. My family and I have been LA Fitness club members for over 20 years, and this was the first time I was denied entry into the gym one hour before closing.

Club is good enough. But swarms of folks engrossed in their smart phones get in the way of those interested in a vigorous workout. Management needs to step up to the plate.

Removed the basketball court for a new equipment room that nobody needed. I can't help but feel they are trying to limit a certain type of people.🤨 La fitness's all across Texas have been removing rims and or removing the gyms completely. I'm cancelling my membership. La fitness was the only gym where competitive levels of players would randomly be there for games. I now will have to drive far and wide trying to find good pick up games. 😢

Recently came back after moving out of my apartment with a decent gym. Man was i suprised to see the condition of the machines. The equipment is in horrible shape. Ive been to alot of la fitnesses around the country when I traveled for work and this is by far the worse condition I've seen one in.****Update to my review. They recently finished making renovating and the difference is night and day. New equipment and better layout!

Stopped by to check out LA Fitness. It is so hot on the basketball court it is almost impossible to be inside. Turn on the AC!!! Moreover, there was dirt on the floor. This would be such a nice facility if maintained properly.

I had a terrible experience here. My best friend recommended me here and initially I was excited to try LA Fitness again. Unfortunately that feeling lasted very little because I found out we were paying very different prices for the same gym. I went back and asked for clarification but instead I was asked to provide my best friends phone number. Two gym associate members showed me her personal information. One was at the front desk as soon as you walk in and the other was done by Howard, the sales manager. He the swiveled the computer screen out for me and anyone behind me to see my best friend’s personal information. They violated her private and confidential information. There’s cameras at the front so they’ll verify this. I’m very disillusioned with how I was treated; being brushed aside for weeks and no one calling me with an answer. I just kept seeing payments taken from my account, after I had specifically informed them that I was not interested in a membership anymore. Please be aware that your information might not be safe here. As a woman, I am terrified that this was allowed to happen. No one called to apologize for how the situation was handled. I had to call and visit in person multiple times, and even then I was ignored. I finally got lucky today and was able to speak with someone, only to be told I would not be given a refund for services I didn’t use because I was scared my personal information would also be disclosed. Please take a moment to read this before signing your information to be shared freely.
