Brett is the absolute man! Was having knee issues for well over a year and wasn’t sure what the issue was. Within five sessions Brett was able to figure out what was causing the knee pain, the steps to take to reduce the pain and techniques/exercises to improve my leg strength. The sessions were always challenging and I always left feeling better. I recommend him without hesitation!

I've only been to an initial visit so far, but he's already helped me fix some problems with my squats. Looking forward to working together.Update: Brett has been invaluable in getting me over my injury and with his guidance I have improved my form in all of the olympic lifts. I highly recommend seeing him if you are recovering from an injury or just want to see consistent improvement without pain.

Before there even was a Barbell Therapy, there was my friend, Brett - a highly intelligent, extremely passionate young man studying fitness. He read and listened to podcasts constantly, as well as hard working in his studies in School. And early on, he showed powerful gifts for functional training, strengthening weakness, and healing the body in an active way.I had suffered a herniated/bulging disk, and it created even issues walking.I was determined not to have surgery, and after explaning and consulting with him - Brett agreed. He and I met, close to a dozen times, working on muscle activation work, and how to stay active, while treating the disk, and even aiding in the bulge to be 'pulled in'. I never had the surgery and years later, I still give Brett the lion share of the credit. I constantly refer to him in conversation, regardless of whether it's for massage, Grastoning, recovery, strengthening a weakness, or techniques on Olympic or Powerlifting. And I proudly still wear my Barbell Therapy shirt occasionally to the gym.. because now, 6+ years later, I have been relatively, 98+% pain free, and continue my own Fitness journey.Brett is an excellent blend of practical knowledge, and calm counsel, meshed with a quiet intensity that will put nearly any person at ease.Go try Brett for any of the services he offers, and experience the Barbell Therapy difference for yourself.

I am so grateful I found Brett of Barbell Therapy and Performance, LLC! I was interested in trying out powerlifting and knew I needed a coach who knew what he was doing. Having Brett as a coach, with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy background proved crucial to my training needs as I had come to him with a previous shoulder injury and a left hip that had begun to hurt when I started squatting heavier on my own. Brett was able to give me prehab moves to incorporate in my training to help increase my performance and decrease my pain. Then when I decided to switch up my training, without hesitation, he wrote up a new program according to my aesthetic goals. Definitely hire Brett as a coach as he will definitely be able to help you reach your athletic goals!

I highly recommend Brett for physical therapy work! I have known Brett for almost two years now and knew that he had been coaching and performing the PT work for a slew of lifters in the NE region; given Brett’s knowledge on both powerlifting and weightlifting, as well as his ever-expanding PT work (he’s constantly taking classes on new techniques and trying to learn more), I knew he was the person I needed to go to when I started experiencing severe back pain a month out from my first USAPL meet (regionals)… long story short, with a slew of personal stress, alongside gym fatigue, I was in a pickle and didn’t know what to do. I knew Brett has worked with other lifters in the past and got them working again so that they could compete, and so he was my first option. I ended up seeing Brett twice a week for two and a half weeks leading up to the meet, and I no longer had back pain! I couldn’t deadlift for almost a month prior to the meet, however, given weekly massages, dry needling, and a slew of exercises to regain my mobility, and desensitize my body to the “pain” (overactive pain receptors), I was able to take 3rd in my weight class. Without Brett’s help, I would have had to completely pull out of this meet. Brett is incredibly easy to work with and schedule with, and he takes out of network insurance, so I was able to pay for the sessions with my insurance card. Overall, highly recommended.
