Richard was so sweet and helpful when helping me get a membership. He informed me if all costs and let me know an estimate if when I will be charged and how much and all the amenities and classes available for each membership. I have always loved the 19th location very clean and friendly

Trufit on 19th street is a scam. After having them add two additional months due to covid closing the gym for two months I thought that finally it was over. Sure I moved to a city where there isn't even a trufit location. I was okay with paying out the rest of the contract, but no. That's not all. They continued to bill me after the contract ended, after I already voiced I wanted it ended. They even charged me the yearly gym fee as well.

Tru Fit has horrible customer service and billing. I cancelled my monthly membership in October and i had already cancelled my credit card i used with them. I had to pay the final bill on line with another card. I hesitated doing this because i did not trust them. THEY BILLED ME AGAIN with my new card!!! I called when i saw it and they confirmed that I cancelled my membership in October and i should not have been billed!!! I have not been called back for 4 days and had to call my credit card to dispute the charges!!! Every time i call they do not let me talk to anyone in charge!!!DO NOT trust Tru fit!!!! They are not trustworthy and are stealing people’s money!!!

My one star is due to billing. The club is great, the amenities are great, the price is respectable. But don't EVER cancel your membership. You will be told incorrect information by the gregarious fellow at the front desk. You will believe him because you don't know better. You will be told on the 2nd trip back (because the front desk guy doesn't know anything) how incompetent everyone in the billing department is. You will be assured that THIS time everything will be done correctly. Then, when you still keep being charged, the long-distance billing department will tell you that everything you have been told previously is wrong. And just one more month of fees will get it resolved. Maybe. Cross your fingers. Other than that, it was great!

The staff is very friendly but the amount of "Out of Order" machines is getting out of hand. There were at least 8 machines, not including treadmills that had their "Out of Order" signs on them. In the past they have been fixed somewhat quickly, but that has certainly changed. It is nice to see someone is there to clean the gym in the mornings because no one cleans their machines or picks up their weights after use. I am hopeful the $50+ in "gym improvement fees" is actually used to improve the equipment and not let it sit unusable for weeks at a time.Adding to this post a week later because another treadmill randomly shut off while running on it. The Out of Order machine tally keeps rising.

The TVs don't work on the treadmills, they ALL have static, the bottoms of the treadmill where you walk on need replacing- to be honest they need to get new treadmills in general. When they did the re-modeling, they were supposed to have gotten new treadmills, but never did.

We love this gym! Always clean, never overly packed, super friendly and everything is in great condition. They even saved my wallet when I lost it in there :)

There is a lot to say about this gym, both good and bad. Good in terms of having a well stocked facility with updated and improved equipment with little if no grime that is usually attached to a gym of this size. And of course having a wonderful free weight area that is well stocked and spread evenly so that even during its busiest hours you can fine a spot to use. But unfortunately the bad outweighs the good in this case, while they do have a good amount of equipment and space it seems they choose to do so little in terms of a quality scale or two. With a new owner and new equipment they have failed to put in a dedicated scale. All they have is a 15 dollar Walmart scale, and if they lose it the staff will do little in helping you find it, telling you to knock on the sauna rooms for hope of someone having it. Besides the fact that the scale is not even stationary is the fact that it is so terrible. You have a large gym with tens if not hundreds of people using it weekly and instead of acquiring a scale built for the use of a gym this size you use one that can be found in someone's bathroom?

Quiet gym, especially in evenings. Good deal. Equipment fixed quickly when broken. Improving quickly with bodyworks buyout.

After the ownership change the facility has gotten a lot better and cleaner. The majority of the equipment gets fixed and regular maintenance is handled promplty. The Men's bathroom needs some attention, other than that I probably would have rated a 4/5. All in all I love this gym and I wouldn't take my business elsewhere.
