I love this place! Roger is great and makes sure you understand the lesson before he moves on THEN we work on it and make sure it's second nature.

Super welcoming atmosphere. Head coach is great and down to earth and Everyone in the class is super friendly as well. Will be training here for as long as I can.

Sensei Campos is an awesome instructor. His detailed instruction is by far the best around. Sensei Campos takes a systematic approach that takes away all the confusion of this complicated sport. Come by and seewhy West Texas Jiu Jitsu is the premiere Jiu Jitsu gym in Lubbock.

I’ve truly enjoyed West Texas Jiu Jitsu. Roger has been patient with me while teaching the fundamentals, and I’m very grateful. I’m having such a great time learning, exercising, and experiencing something new.

If you are in the area you should be training here, I was traveling through and caught the Saturday open mat. Very respectful and welcoming atmosphere, the competition was excellent, the regulars all have a very solid game. I’ll definitely stop next time I’m back in the area, hopefully pick up some merch next trip. No shock the merch was sold out. Thank you to the Professor and the students, you have made a great atmosphere to train.

WTJJA is the BEST. You not only get top notch training there. It’s a community of people that are more like family and friends. Everyone is friendly and welcomes you with open arms. Look no further than WTJJA.

Roger is a top tier Jiu Jitsu professor. I’ve trained with him for over a decade, in that time he’s challenged me and made much better at the craft. He can help people at all levels whether the goal is competition, physical fitness or self defense. Everyone at the school helps each other, iron sharpening iron.

On the way to attend Judo Junior Nationals, i took my kids to this class. The instructors, people over there were very cordial, and knowledgeable. I loved how they approach the game. If I were living nearby, I would have joined the place in a heartbeat.

Got invited by a friend and was initially skeptical. I didn’t want to be a live throw dummy for some up and coming MMA fighter. I took advantage of his free trial day and was immediately hooked. All my original assumptions were dismissed. Roger’s teaching style and class structure is phenomenal. The other students were respectful and welcoming. They seemed to want to learn, and ensure their training partner is learning, more than just winning each practice roll. With a 6am class, you have time to shower and grab breakfast before heading to work, class, or the golf course.

First time ever training Jiu Jitsu and my experience with Roger has been amazing! He teaches technique so well and everyone is very welcoming.
