What is there not to like about it? I enjoy all the group exercises. From total body strength, TRX, and MashUps are fabulous. Yoga and Pilates are for me, and I compliment them with Barre and Zumba for the best day ever. Inspired, challenged, and guided by incredible instructors along with awesome members is an extension of my family. The only thing missing is Couch Potato Training.

Lack of communication between employees, I went yesterday and the pool manager didn't let me in because by him since the building is close I can't buy a day pass, I had called half hour earlier and the lady who answered the phone said: I am leaving but they sell the pass between 12 and 6 (or 7, not sure) was the 2 time I had call and same thing was informed, so was waste of time and gas because employees doesn't know how to work and what they say to people who is calling

Teachers week is right around the corner! I personally wanted to make a post to let the YMCA know that I am so truly grateful for all they do! This year has been the hardest year for our family and not just because of the pandemic. Francesca is the director of my youngest daughters kindergarten/early learning program and she is THE BEST! There truly are no words to express how grateful we really are but, at least I can try. My daughter has been going here for almost 2 yrs now and she's the happiest she's ever been, a HUGE thanks to Francesca for being such an amazing help to our family/daughters. Francesca has been on top of everything through this pandemic and before the pandemic. Any questions that I had were always answered before I could even ask. All because of the dedication to our kids, Francesca has never dropped the ball and has gone above and beyond for all the kids/families. To have a team of people who truly care about each and every single child and family member, top notch would be an understatement! They not only have helped with my youngest daughter and her education but helping us all without question for everything we needed. My oldest daughter also came here, until recently when she aged out. Gina is the director of the older kids programs and she also is THE BEST!! She too helped my daughter grow into this ana amazing and helpful girl, that I'm lucky enough to call my daughter. Gina helped along with Francesca to be a stable support, teacher, guide, friend and like family. Gina helped my eldest who has a disability and never let that hold her back from thriving. My daughter went from a student to a helper and now soon to be a volunteer. We're so proud of her and all the hills she has climbed. I can tell you without a doubt, that The Saugus YMCA is the BEST we have ever been to or a part of. The lengths they go for each family and child is OUTSTANDING!! If I could give 10 🌟 I would!! There is help, learning, teaching, thriving, striving, detected teachers and directors here and we are lucky to have them all! If you are looking for a safe and happy learning team, The Saugus YMCA is the place for you and your family!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart Francesca and Gina for being absolute rockstar's at your job!! They all deserve a raise!! Thank you to the teachers for all their hard work and passion that they give to our kids! You are all truly remarkable!!Thanks again,Jen and Family 😁❤🙏

I’ve had nothing but great experiences this far with Y Academy my 3 yr old son was attending a in-home daycare for bilingual children and his dad and I had decided to put him in a school So we spoke with my brother & sister-in-law who also send my niece to the YMCA. As parents we were looking for more structure bigger classrooms and children his age and I’ve seen such a great turn around with my son academically speech wise and his learning progress the first few days my son was hesitant about going inside because he didn’t know how to transition but here we are 3 months in to his transition and he is so excited to attend. My son attends the Y Academy five days a week from 8 to 4, It’s the best decision we made as parents this far. The director Ms. Francesa is amazing & understanding, I appreciate her newsletters about any important messages or about the upcoming topics of what the kids will be learning for the weeks coming, also anytime I have a question she’s very responsive and quick. The teachers at Y Academy are also amazing so nice my son absolutely loves his class teachers Mrs. Jen & Mrs. Leslie. They have a great team at Y academy in Saugus. my 3yr old son is happy I’m even more GREAT JOB SAUGUS YMCA

My daughter had the most horrific experience here. Sending her to their childcare center is the worst decision I have ever made. My daughter struggles with anxiety and whenever she would get upset her teacher would call the director to remove her from the classroom rather than trying to assist her with emotional regulation skills which early childhood educators are supposed to know how to do. The director would then call me to pick my daughter up from school. This went on for months. Then they changed her classroom. The next teacher was a bit better but again the teachers & administration have absolutely no training or skills in assisting children with emotional regulation. They didn’t even try to come up with an action plan to assist her. I had to reach out to outside resources to give them suggestions on how to help her. Eventually they didn’t want to help my daughter at all & decided they didn’t want to deal with her so they kicked her out of the program. These people lack training and compassion for children who just need a little extra help and understanding. When I had a meeting with them they were more interested in talking about setting up their patio furniture for spring than they were in helping my daughter. A complete disgrace. If I could rate them with zero stars I would.

My two girls started here pre COVID preschool and kindergarten. I was amazed how staff handled the transition and reopening. I thank the director for always staying on top of everything and communicating throughout the process. The preschool teachers are very creative and send my daughter home with all different types of work and art done. Kindergarten my daughter learned and advanced her reading and math. Never had any issues regarding my kids well being and I’m excited to see their experience for summer camp.

The staff here is INCREDIBLY friendly. I just took a tour of several YMCA facilities around the northern suburbs of Boston to find the right fit, and chose Saugus above the others. It is a nice, newer, clean facility with plenty of space to work out, and tons of parking. Because there aren't large crowds, there is virtually no wait times for exercise equipment, which is nice, because I can then go at my own pace. Isaac and Ashley at the front desk were wonderful and made me feel quite welcome. Would highly recommend this Y facility to anyone in the area who's looking for a gym!

My son went to this daycare years ago and still talks about it to this day! The staff is amazing and i cannot wait for my daughter to be old enough to attend! The staff always had suggestions for how to help him, he is a VERY active boy and needs 1 on 1 attention at times. My niece and nephew currently attend. They came from a daycare that wasn't so put together. I cannot begin to explain the live they now have for school and how far they have come!

There are a few positive things I will write about this establishment before I get into the real stuff. First, My son loved it here. He had friends here and enjoyed the things he got to do here. Second, was an employee there name Kyle. He was the only person would could handle an issue with professionalism and actually sincerity. Third, this place was convenient. Thats it. Now I went here has a child and loved it so sending my son there for Kindergarten and Summer camp had me feeling very nostalgic and sentimental. Two and a half years ago there were friendly staff and wonderful and it was very organized. My son had the most amazing teacher Mrs. Sue and she was a dream. Over the last year and a half myself and many other parents had to deal with nasty attitudes, disorganized leadership, lack of communication and many other frustrations. I will never step foot into this establishment ever again. From the ways the After school director spoke to the children so negatively to how issues were handled by upper management. I have to say that taking my son out of here has to be the best choice I have made for him and myself.
