Barry's Miami Midtown offers high-intensity interval training (HIIT) classes in a clean, well-equipped studio located at The Shops at Midtown Miami. The facility features a mix of treadmill and weighted floor workouts, designed to challenge and motivate participants. The trainers, especially Gui and Nikki, receive high praise for their energy and motivational skills, while the Fuel Bar provides a variety of shakes to recharge after a tough session.

Despite the great workouts and atmosphere, a few reviews highlight issues with some staff members and class management. Parking can also be a challenge, and instances of rude behavior from specific instructors and the management diminish an otherwise excellent experience.

Pros:

  • Challenging and fun workouts.
  • Clean and organized studio.
  • High energy and motivational trainers.
  • Convenient location with nearby shopping and dining.
  • Friendly and helpful staff.
  • Well-maintained bathrooms and locker rooms.
  • Great shakes and supplements at the Fuel Bar.
  • Variety in workout routines.
  • Personalized attention and recognition during classes.

Cons:

  • Parking is difficult to find.
  • Some staff members can be rude.
  • Class management issues (spots given away if late).

I enjoyed the actual workout. I found it challenging & fun. But sadly the instructor Nelson was so rude & condescending. Sarcastically saying on the microphone “cmon now.. you seem smart & strong Monica” after seeing I had mismatched dumbbells for one of the workouts. (its dark in there & was my first class). Then my friend & I were having trouble finding the bands & he kept on with another comment, instead of just telling us where they were (which would have taken less time). I then toldhim he could just say things nicely & that it was our first class.. and he straight up said “Well i can’t be nice because then you know..” whatver that means? I understand we weren’t there 15 minutes before the class for prep but there’s a way to talk to people & an instructor is there to motivate & guide you.. not make you feel embarrassed or put you down. Seriously don’t know how this guy is a trainer. He should probably try finance or IT, something that doesn’t require people skills ya know. Other than that, the class is good & I’d try it again, just with another instructor.

I put the 5 stars because the gym is awesome, its doesnt deserve the 1 star given by "Bruna Lamanna" #karen. That has her bike stolen far from the gym and putting her anger on a great business that works hard everyday for their customers.

Nikki was awesome. Great energy. Wants her students to do well. Was visiting from Toronto and was grateful for her dedication. One of my favourite teachers!

Giving 1 stars not because the classes aren’t great, but because I got my bike stolen this morning, parked and locked 20 meters away from the gym. Be aware - if you planning to go bicycling the gym does not have a parking area and it’s not safe to park nearby.

Nelson Cardenas is the worst instructor I’ve ever experience. He was rude, with a negative and bad attitude the whole time. Avoid taking any class with him!

Honestly this place has changed our lives. My girlfriend and I have been coming here for about 6 months; wow, what a workout.Gui and Dorian are incredible. They play great music and keep you going. They have a way of pushing you while being nice. You’ll never workout on your own this way. The energy is 100%.Also shout out to Justin! So kind and welcoming. An old soul, for real. Love him.

I showed up to class at 11:50 am for an 11:50 am class and they had given my spot away. The only answer from the manager was that I needed to show up 5 minutes earlier or your spot is given away to the waitlist and you get charged the …

Manager gives away your reserved spot if you don’t arrive 5 minutes prior to class. Parking is extremely hard to find here. So be aware because they will charge you even if you make it on time and not the 5 minutes earlier that they request.

This gym is great. However, the general manager at this location is the rudest human I have ever met. I asked him a simple question in regards to ClassPass and he answered in the most absurdly rude manner. It seemed as though he lives a …

I don't like giving 3 stars and actually would have given an even lower rating if it weren't for the instructor who was very considerate and on point. The reason for the low rating is because the class set up is so cramped with literally …
