Planet Fitness

This PF is huge! Lots of machines. First time to a real gym since covid started. Nobody with masks.Edit: Staff can't get it together. If you have a membership through your insurance, don't bother. They were fine for the last couple of months, but now they want you to pay an extra fee on top of what your insurance is already paying. No thanks.

Not enough treadmills. Nasty Dasani water. Ventilation is garbage. Stinks. Bathroom stalls are small. Cheap toilets. Toilet paper dispenser so close to the ground you have to bend over to get tissue.

Love it this planet fitness far exceeds and that I have been to they have made shure that they please both people who care about the virus and those who are over it all. In other words there are tread mills that have plenty glass wall between them and some that don't. Not all equipment have this only the treadmills but there far more cleaning stations and hand sanitizer around the facilities not only that every time I have gone in there is some one cleaning (staff) not sitting behind the counter watching ticktok newer equipment and some even keep rep count love it I have gone to plenty of golds and planet fitness but this one goes far above and beyond to make everyone fell safe and comfortable I wish the one by my house was more like this one

It’s definitely well equipped with all the bells and whistles! Some expert advice! Do not go between 5pm-9pm LOL I’ll definitely visit anytime I’m working in Odessa

I love the staff and cleanliness. Yes bathroom stalls are for skinny ppl but I don’t go there to hang out in restroom. I’m reaching my goals and love motivational board.

Midland location, never cleaned & staff can’t even help with everyday things like tanning… shouldn’t be a big ordeal taking 2 employees to set up a tanning bed! Go to Odessa, way better!!!

Honest Review:I have worked out for 15+ years and take it as seriously as I can working a full time job. Having said that I am by no means a meat-head, but I know what to do and what I need for a decent workout.I have been a member at 24 Hr Fitness, Gold's Gym, LA fitness and the like and hands down Planet Fitness is the worst. It is not a place for anyone trying to take weightlifting even moderately seriously.They have no dumbells over 75 Lbs, ez curl bars max out at 60 Lbs, and the bench press/squat stations are on guided tracks that limit mobility. This is a beginners only place. They have no scale because of "positivity."Right next to a sign that reads "no critics" is a sign that says "lunkers are not welcome" they go on to define lunker as a guy that drinks out of a gallon water jug grunts and drops weight. Again I am not a "lunker" but to be so blatantly hypocritical is a poor choice.There are other gyms in town for the same price that have all of the amenities that Planet Fitness offers plus all the things you would expect from a real gym. I am all about making everyone comfortable, but they take it beyond that and clearly cater to people that want to say they have a gym membership and have no clue what to do.Planet Fitness is the place where someone will sit under the dip bars and do pull ups because they don't know any better.I gave this located 2 stars instead of 1 because this location has friendly staff and cancelation of my member ship took about 45 seconds. To those of you that understand how great that is no other explanation is necessary.It was my mistake to join.

I'm a Crunch member and all their stairmasters were down or taken today. I got lucky a friend was headed to Planet Fitness and let me be her plus one. It was clean, and I loved the stair master. What I didn't like was how low the music was, or that an employee had the audacity to approach me and tell me, "I know you and you're friend are enjoying your work out but can you please keep it quiet?" Last I checked, gyms are pretty loud and conversation is normal. I didn't realize this was a gym for senior citizens. I was considering switching but after that NO THANK YOU!

Love the friendly staff they’re always greeting, no mater if your coming or going! The message boardand the daily motivational quotes + “ it’s encouraging” and the equipment quality “NOT BROKEN “ if it is ….it’s repaired ASAP! Lot of positive Vibes, makes you like or even love being there! LIfe it hard enough! mental health is important to me, not just looking good it’s My ME time ❤️ WELLNESS!!!

Cancelling your membership should be as simple as an online option or calling in to your local club. The notion that you need to go to the location or send in a letter that has the exact same information you could tell them over the phone is a waste of time. Also, the fact that they don’t have any sort of water softeners or filters for their water fountains in a place like Midland– where the tap water tastes terrible– is insane. I don’t even water my plants with this godawful tap water. Install some water filters, unless you’re blatantly trying to hock $5 water bottles to your parched customers.
