TruFit Athletic Clubs - Meta Dr

I had gotten a membership in June, and planned to continue at the gym for the foreseeable future. However, late July I had an appendectomy and wouldn’t be able to work out beyond what I could do at home for a while. When I finally was able to go up there (because cancelations have to be signed and in writing) I was told I would just be charged for the month and I was ok with that. Then they took out a fifty dollar membership fee for a year after I canceled, because I didn’t give a 45 day notice before canceling. I said I didn’t get a 45 day notice for my medical issues and that up until that point I planned on continuing. They essentially said well that’s just too bad and we’re probably going to charge you for next month too. Needless to say I will not be returning to this gym even though I originally intended too. This establishment is unprofessional and unsympathetic to the plight of its members.

Trufit’s Meta Dr. location has truly been EVERYTHING I could ever want in a gym!The atmosphere is AMAZING and the staff is DA’ BOMB!!! Especially Eddie! This guy has been exceptionally helpful in getting me and my family settled into our workout routine!Best gym in Midland hands down!!?

I came for a quick workout while I was visiting Midland, and the gym was pretty nice! Lots of machines, not too crowded. The staff was very friendly. It was a bit warm, but the women’s only area was nice and cool.

Be careful about signing up for any membership in Midland truFit …after canceling 6 months ago (we moved out of state) and providing the necessary proof of our move they continued charging our account. My husband called and emailed their GM our move documents again. They were to refund our payments and stop all charges. But guess what… they charged us today…our total charges after we cancelled.. $768! Do not join this gym! It’s a total scam.

Great facility. Lots of equipment for boxing, Olympic lifting, basic strength training and cardiovascular exercisesMiguel and Haley are simply amazing and some of the most friendly people you will ever meet.My only reason for not giving a five star is the bathrooms and showers in the morning.

This place is hands down one of the best kept secrets in Midland. Their Staff goes above and beyond to take care and help answer any and all questions available. I've gone to other gyms and they are over crowded, noisy, and uncomfortable. Tru-Fit brings an environment made for relaxation, concentrating and over all fitness! Love this place, never crowded, and will never cheat her! If your looking for a gym come in and talk to their subject matter experts. They will guide you to excellence!!

Everything is broken ! This is on Midland Dr. Too many machine with out of order signs on them. Have been this way for months. Out of 12 treadmills on back row only 4 work. Other machines same way. There is no upkeep on equipment. There is an small weight area that is missing almost all of the weight stack pins and most pads are cracked and never replaced. Ellipticals are falling apart. Most book/phone racks are broken on the precor ellipticals with parts falling off just laying on the floor. May have no choice but to change gyms. Join only at your own risk. Other places as planet fitness and crunch have same prices and I am sure better upkeep. Hopefully they have more pride and maintain their equipment.

Before you sign up just know that to cancel you have to show two specific pieces of mail showing that you moved. And after you show those they may or may not get back to you in a timely manner. Also after you say that you want to cancel because of relocation there is a 30 day notice you must give them only so they can charge you another month. I would not recommend this gym.
