24 Hour Fitness in Mission Viejo offers a range of basic fitness amenities with a consistently friendly and welcoming staff. Their two-level facility includes various weight and cardio machines and dedicated space for fitness classes. The gym maintains a clean atmosphere and has a generally comfortable environment for workouts. However, members have noted that while the gym is not overly crowded during off-peak hours, it's relatively small, which can sometimes lead to longer wait times for equipment.
Additionally, while the facility includes the essential equipment needed for a complete workout, several reviews point to the need for equipment updates and maintenance, especially in the locker rooms and showers. It's an active-level gym without additional amenities like a sauna, steam room, or pool, but its accessible location and friendly staff make it a community favorite despite its limitations.

All the basic equipment you need in a relatively small gym compared to the higher membership level restricted clubs. It was clean and the AC works better than at the Foothill Ranch gym. The overhead music was weirdly low but I appreciated not hearing the gym music through my own music in my earbuds. Friendly staff.Update: all still as above, & not busy at 9am.

Ok, I have moved away from this gym, and I’ve come back just to write this review. I love this gym. It is very basic and unassuming. It’s basically a gym for regular joes. There is no judgment, it’s almost never too crowded, the front desk is helpful, and it’s got everything you need for good workouts. It’s not new or big, but it gets the job done, and it’s the most comfortable I’ve ever been in a gym. I wish I could have taken it with me.

The nicest front staff of any 24 Hr Fitness I’ve ever been to. Every morning they greet with a warm “welcome” on the way in, and a “have a great day” with a big smile on your way out. They are amazing and will get your day off to a great start!

I’ve been holding off on this review because I feel like this is the hidden gem of 24s in the area. Yes it’s probably the smallest one in the area but its never busy weekdays in the mornings to afternoon. This allows you to do your workouts without waiting for machines or weights. This kinda feels like a private hotel gym. There’s a mix of old and new machines, but still well maintained. Since its a smaller gym is run well. Staff is friendly too!

Extremely rude staff. I downloaded a free pass to try out the gym and was not allowed to use it. From the second I walked in I was questioned and treated poorly. I had a membership 15 years ago and just moved back to the area. The rules say you can use the pass as long as you haven’t had a membership in the last 12 months. I was told by this location they had different rules and if I had EVER had a membership I wasn’t eligible to try out the gym, even though I had never been to this location. I see nothing has changed with this company and now I remember why I left.
