Great place to host small group events to learn about bouldering and climbing. We had an exceptional time with Hassan for a guided instructional for two hours where we learned how to boulder and use the auto-belay. Highly recommend!

Method Climbing is absolutely fantastic! They offer an incredible selection of classes and challenging walls for climbers of all levels. But what truly sets Method Climbing apart is Rich, the owner. He's amazing! Not only does he provide excellent service, but he even took time out of his night to help me with a parking issue. Rich, thank you so much for going above and beyond to assist me. Your dedication and personal touch made a lasting impression. If you're looking for a gym than Method Climbing is the place to be. With Rich and his amazing staff at the helm, you'll experience top-notch facilities, diverse classes, and a warm, welcoming environment. I can't recommend Method Climbing enough!

Great, affordable rock climbing gym in the heart of newark- cool problems and setting all around! Setting happens fast - blink and you miss it with your project, but that’s just motivation to go more often

Definitely a comp style gym. People talk about this place all over. I work at a gym and central Pennsylvania and people know aboutMethod which is wild. Such a fun place to go. I haven’t had much experience with the community since I only go there sporadically but it’s a very fun place to climb. I definitely get humbled since the style of climbing is so different from what Im used to but so much fun.The only complaint I have is really just the staff experience. I’ve never had a bad experience with the staff, but generally they kind of just ignore you. I’ve definitely gone and expect you to maybe have some cool conversations with other stuff since I also work at a gym, but for the most part still only really talk to you if you ask them questions. I don’t know, maybe it’s just since my gym really emphasizes that customer experience but otherwise this gym is pretty phenomenal and I still give it five stars.

After a highly informative intro session with Justin, I’ve had so much fun discovering my skills and abilities at Method! Turns out i love climbing!

It’s always good to come back, I appreciate this gym because you can train technique on the boulders, climbing on heights it’s complementary to the bouldering, and because of that it’s always a good addition..I’m introverted so,for me is hard to get there when is full.. but, depending on the schedule, I find some gaps for me to train here and there.. I liked that the bathrooms are very clean and the basket of feminine pads in there is a nice detail that is very appreciated.

Great bouldering gym! Frequent new routes, a very active community also doing other things than climbing (e.g. D&D). The fitness classes (Capoeira, Yoga, TRX) are included in the membership and offer a good opportunity to try some new stuff. Also, they have a slackline in the toprope corner! 5/5 would recommend

Really fun climbing and a great atmosphere. A lot of options for bouldering and separate workout areas for weights, etc. If I lived closer, I'd be there all the time.

I've heard about this gym for years, from YouTube videos and friends. I love the architecture, the spotlights. They have all the best climbing holds, many of which I've never seen before. The routesetting was excellent, on par or better than other local gyms. There were a lot of fun climbs made with expensive holds, which is rare to find in the lower grades. There was plenty of hard stuff, some comp style problems, a wide range of hold types and textures. There was not much overhang, except for a more bare bones old school room in the back with a 45° and maybe even steeper overhang. The people at the front desk were very nice.I had a negative experience signing the waiver, It was a very long complicated process and the front desk person had to help me navigate the iPad.Parking was disappointing. There is a garage across the street, But the gym charges $4 to validate the ticket. Not sure how much this ends up saving you, but for the price of a day pass they should include parking.Overall the gym was cool to visit. I would definitely visit again.

Areas are kept clean, and route setting is great and problems are really interesting. The best part… Method isn’t just a climbing gym but a great community.
