I came here for basketball training and my coach Rodney had this good training plan that helped me see my progress. John the owner of the business was friendly as well. So the training itself is good, no issues. The only things that showed up was that as our sessions kept going, Rodney sometimes started to be less available, and for reasons that I personally don’t understand, such as “I don’t have gas,” and for several days after that he did not get back to me about his availability for the next session. I was trying to finish as many sessions as possible before I move out of the area, but the absence on his end at least partly contributed to the outcome that I still had 6 sessions unfinished by the time I move out. If he were more available, I would have only about 3 sessions unfinished instead of 6. So I tried yo ask for a refund (at least a reasonable partial refund) to the unused 6 sessions. They promised to get back to me about my refund request, but a couple of weeks later, I have not heard from them. This is the reason I give a 3 star: training is good and I enjoyed my sessions with Rodney, but could’ve done better in terms of coach availability and refund policy, especially given the fact that my unfinished sessions is not entirely my fault.

When I first read the reviews I was thinking he does amazing with the athletes. However I am NO ATHLET. I don't workout and I have neve had a trainer. When I walk in speak to him I felt very comfortable. He was and is VERY PROFESSIONAL. For me as a female with a mail coach that is a must!I liked how he walk me through some of the exercise so I could see what I was getting into. I am on my 3rd week and I am very glad I started working with him. I have learned a lot about myself. I never could do a crunch or squat now its part of my routine. If you are looking for progress please contact Vertex.

My son has been going to Vertex since the beginning. All the sessions have elevated his game to new levels. 💯 percent improvement in the field and batting. Highly respect what they are teaching there. …

Coach Bevins and his team have been instrumental in the development of my boys both for baseball and track and field. They have outlined a development plan focused on speed, agility, strength and position skills to assist them in achieving their long term goals. Coach Bevins also serves as a mentor speaking to the mental part of the game. This is beneficial not only in their growth as athletes but also as individuals. VXP is highly recommended!

Vertex is a top notch place with top notch instructors. They have great knowledge of strength training and baseball/softball techniques. Owner/operator John Bivins brings in top instructors in a variety of sports that truly care about the athletes they train.

My daughter skyler is 15 and trains with vertex. Let me tell you a little something I love and enjoy about her journey with vertex. When she started with them she was not the strongest girl and it showed. Well along the start of her journey things got better and she got stronger, but a injury got in the way. Vertex was apart of her recovery process and not only did she recover well. She come back off of injury earlier, was shown how to not let the injury effect you mentally, she is back to fully playing again and is stronger than before injury! Another great thing about vertex they are providing her with a internship to learn how to do what it takes to be a vertex performance professional! She’s learning to train, eat properly as a athlete, a carrier, also what it takes to work together as a team! She loves vertex and the staff. When I mean your treated like family! I mean it!!Me and my wife really appreciate what you all do for our daughter. Thank you!!!

My 13 year old son has been working with Coach Bivens at Vertex Performance and the progress he is making is astounding. My son has had several pitching/hitting coaches over the years, but he has never had such a comprehensive and personalized program developed for him. Coach Bivens incorporates strength training, agility and flexibility into the program to help him become a better athlete overall and his knowledge of baseball mechanics helps to breakdown every component of his pitch and swing to help him improve on those as well. I highly recommend Vertex Performance!
