Muscle Beach East Gym

Great gym, and enthusiastic people. Good place to workout anytime of day.

There's no other gym I've ever joined as a regular member that has ever topped good ol' hard-core Muscle Beach in O.V. for serious fitness, affordability, atmosphere & staff knowledge/dedication. Now that I'm back in Tidewater, I'll be back at M. B. very soon. M. B. was also the usual haunt for the great local wrestling legend, Mr. Lou Thesz (God rest his soul).Oh, & after reading one extremely negative review above, I'd like to add that if you're looking for a fashion show or to have your wee hand held & your ego pampered at M. B., do yourself a favor.Try Bally's.

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!! YOU WILL GET SCREWED!!!! I had a membership here when i first moved to VA about 10yrs ago i cancelled membership or at least was told it would be cancelled because i was moving out of state. One of their so called trainers who told me he worked there assured me my membership would be cancelled here they are 10yrs later trying to garnish me for money I DO NOT OWE THEM!!!!!!!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE GOING HERE YOU WILL BE LEFT WITH HEADACHES FOR YRS TO COME!!!!

It's a very old fashioned gym. There is a lot of equipment that uses plates and a large selection of dumbbells. I wish the treadmills and elliptical were fixed or replaced with something else

Got the 1 month membership. Going to renew it for the 3 month membership. Friendly staff. No frills, no free pizza or judgement. This is what a gym should look like.

A gym more geared toward lifting but offers everything you need for any kind of physical goal you are trying to reach. Membership isn't too pricey, some of the equipment is kind of dated but that doesn't really matter. They say they are planning on going to 24 hours soon, and the fact that they aren't yet is the only reason it isn't 5 stars. The people there are fun to talk to and the music is decent.

Fantastic place to work out. Excellent Management, prestine facility and physical property. Owners Dawn and Joe are efficient and accommodating.

This is a no nonsense gym for only the serious trainers everything you need to achieve the results you want The staff is truly one of the best, well worth your time and money.. Unlike some gyms that serve you pizza and begals!!! This is the real deal its simple do you want your stomach to grow from all that pizza and begals from the other place if not come to Muscle beach and get your muscles to grow!!!!

Love it! Nice little local gym with views of the Chesapeake Bay. Great atmosphere, helpful staff & personal trainers, free weights & various machines, heavy bags & Zumba classes!
