Great small gym! Listens to feedback, adjusts to your needs as an individual while keeping the program applicable for the group. Stays challenging and always motivating!

I tried the group workout class after trying and failing many times to workout on my own. Ed was very understanding of my concerns and has made sure to accommodate my needs at every turn. In the group workout class he shows us how do do the movements and watches us carefully to make sure we are using proper form. He also helps to make sure we are using the proper weights or alternative exercises to fit our abilities. I had also personally been wanting to try a vegan diet, and he made a meal plan for me that fit my schedule and taste.I am very glad to be a part of this group. I've made some strength and endurance gains over the past few months. I'm standing up straighter and feeling better. I love the challenge, and seeing the weights that I'm lifting go up over time.Keep in mind, this is not a light weight program, Ed will make sure you are pushing yourself without overdoing it. Bring a headband or towel and some water!

I can honestly say that I didn't enjoy lifting weights until I visited this CrossFit gym. Ed is such a great coach and designs the workouts so they're both fun and challenging. He's encouraging, patient, attentive, makes sure you have the form down before starting any movements, and pushes you just the right amount (not to mention he's vegan, gives a discount if you're vegan, and his dog named Apollo hangs out with you during the workout!). His prices are extremely reasonable, and since there's a limit of 8 or so people per class, it's basically like having a personal trainer. I love NewEthic and have highly recommended it to my friends in the Hampton Roads area. I mostly focused on running before I started CrossFit, but now that I'm stronger, my pace has significantly improved and long runs don't feel as hard on my knees. If you want to feel like a badass after getting a killer workout, this is the place for you!
