This review was long overdue. I’ve been apart of Impact Fitness a little over a year now, first on zoom during the closures and then I’ve been attending the 6am class since 3x times week since reopening of gyms. For starters, this has been the longest I’ve ever committed to a gym. I was never a fan of gyms if I’m going to be honest. For one because I didn’t know how to properly use machines, so I’d stick to the usual cardio machines, stair climber, elliptical, treadmill which eventually became boring and led me to never stay consistent. Secondly, most of the local gyms are dirty, unkept and stinky. No thanks!Until I was introduced to Liam & Impact Fitness, I have not looked back since. As a first timer in weight training, I really like that Liam is all about proper form & safety, he takes the time to demonstrate and explain thoroughly each exercise. Once you got the form down he pushes you to go heavier on the weights, go harder during a cardio sesh, which I love afterwards (not during of course 😅). Liam combines weight training and cardio for a fire workout. I have never left a class regretting being up at 5 to make it to the 6am class. Liam’s classes have become the highlight of my week because I know I’m going to get a killer workout. Since starting I’ve become stronger and have more energy throughout my day. It has even made a huge impact on my mood, also has helped me better control the stress from work. Impact fitness has made a huge impact in my life for the better and never did I imagine I would enjoy weight training as much as I do now.We all know that working out in general has great benefits, but I also think the relationship you have with the gym makes all difference & if you’re looking for a clean, safe, intense but fun gym sessions, then impact fitness is your place! I promise you won’t regret joining!

Here, you’ll the learn the importance of proper form/technique (to keep yourself safe and free from injury), nutrition, alternative exercises, and more! Recommend 100%.

First, the facility is secured with code to enter, huge, clean, modern, and looks super nice. Equipment is new, clean, and well taken care of. During, peak covid, we were masked up and equipment was thoroughly sanitized. There are showers and bathrooms that are clean, spacious, and modern.10/10Second, Liam as a coach has been awesome. Not just a trainer, but educator. Taught me about safe form, nutrition, exercises to do in commercial gyms, and plenty more. Really learned the importance of rest and stretching. I think his approach has been great, progressive overload, with time you lift heavier and better, really trust the process. The coaching app he uses is easy to navigate and he is really easy to get ahold of.10/10Third, the workouts. In the beginning, it was a lot of focusing on the basics, but with time, boy, these work outs had me in literal tears in the best way. These workouts can be personalized to your wants and needs. When they say no judgement zone, I really feel it at Impact Fitness. Never felt judged or belittled in any way.10/10I have been with Liam going 2 years in November. By far, this has been the best investment in myself. Pricey, but make your time/money worth it, show up, and stay focus! I started with private sessions and now onto semi private. There is group training available, haven't been myself, but always hear great things. He offers a free 1st personal training session, which I highly recommend. At Impact, I've done exercised and lifted heavy weights I never imagined I was able to do. I look forward to every session! I am very happy with my progress. Would I recommend Impact Fitness? 100%

Back in November of 2021, I was looking to hire a personal trainer to help with my upcoming climb of Vinson Massif, the tallest mountain in Antarctica. I'm so glad I found Impact Fitness in Oakland because my trainer Liam was able to put together a personalized and custom program that focused on strength training and endurance. I've never felt more fit and strong in my life! We worked out 3 times a week and every session was fun and engaging. The gym is equipped with everything you need and more. And by the way, I was able to make the summit of Vinson, all thanks to Liam and Impact Fitness!

I have read countless reviews about trainers who claim to be "The Best". Being the best is subjective in training as long as the program is sound. What makes a good trainer is the level of heart and effort they put into the program when the session is over. Making sure you have workouts to do when you are on your own and accountability are very important. When we go home without a plan we fail. Liam put his heart into helping the clients succeed outside of the sessions. This is what makes Liam one of the best there are. This isn't a subjective opinion.You can't fake heart and enthusiasm for long before your true colors show. Patience, integrity, and real fire to help his clients is what makes Liam a great choice for those who want to succeed. Liam takes pride in how hard he works. In fitness the person who takes pride in how hard they work instead of how they look are the ones that can truly help others.There are many amazing trainers out there and what makes Liam different is that he will go the distance to help you succeed. He doesn't work for a paycheck but a true desire to see that you do succeed.

The greatest gym I’ve been a member of hands down! Personal training with Liam is without an equal in the quality of his regimen, and the care he puts into teaching you form and technique. He cares that you succeed in your goals and he makes them his own. You’ll see progress instantly in activating different muscle groups and bulking up. Liam is also one of the friendliest and most expert trainers you’ll ever know. Very easy and enjoyable to work with him.I also want to add that if you get Ed as your trainer you’ll also be very satisfied with results. Ed is a high energy and yet easy going trainer who is pro at weightlifting and pushing you to reach your full potential. I've been training and bouncing around many gyms for 10+ years and out of all the places and personal trainers I've worked with, Impact Fitness Oakland has been far the best in seeing and gaining results. Very nice gym and the push you get there gets you to your body goal amazingly quick. Very well knowledge on diet, training, and getting maximum results. Wish I came here earlier!

I've been training with Liam for less than a month and I'm already feeling so much stronger and healthier. I've built up muscle in a short time, and I'm thankful for the foundation and knowledge Liam's taught me. He's super dedicated and I can't recommend him enough!

My fiancé (at the time) and myself did the partner training with Liam for ten weeks, and we learned SO MUCH in such a short amount of time. Liam was very dedicated in ensuring he understood our personal goals, and provided so much direction both in the gym and with our nutrition. He’s very fun and easy to work with, and especially working out during the time of the pandemic he kept everything clean and sanitized. I don’t think I would’ve lost 6lbs and 2” off the waist in such a short amount of time if it weren’t for Liam. He is totally part of the journey of preparing me and my now husband in starting this healthier lifestyle together that felt impossible. He introduced us to a lot of new equipment, proper techniques to work out safely, and provided so much information regarding proper nutrition/recommended supplements and ALL THIS have really prepared us for a solid fitness journey. We never thought we could feel as strong as we do, SUCH a great investment that we would recommend to everyone!!!

Since I've started training with Liam I have felt better and stronger, had more energy, and can see real gains losing weight. I have also appreciated his flexibility to adapt to the COVID-19 situation as well as having a challenging but diverse program to keep me engaged. My wife has also started with Liam and the partner training has been very effective for us as well - would highly recommend.
